That last sentence just seems wrong...“lowly Focus for $42k”
It was designed for 30min track session’s before needing cooldown basically. Which is an improvement because the ST lasts about 5-10min on hot days.
I wanted one for a short while, then I heard about the powertrain only being able to do 30min of “performance” driving. Also I already have a ST and the interior was fine for 25k but 42k is another story.
Wet pavement!
My buddy had the bluetooth module go bad in his TL, man what a PITA that was to figure out. Took him months of heartache and anger. He traced out every single circuit before finding it on the forums, glad it wasn’t my car(I would have started on the forums)
Well, I can understand. Almost all their vehicles are rated bottom of the barrel for reliability, most dealer tactics are old school harassment style.
I wish they were 35-40k, can hardly find a 987 Cayman S less then 40k. The 997.2 C2S are still around 50k non S are around 45k.

What is more depressing is that all the VW lawsuit money will be earmarked for good enviroment things but will get spent on unrelated non-environmental things cause they “need” the money.
A USED E46 325i is a great place to start for enthusiasts.
Kudos for writing it but this is Jalopnik so it is my duty to reply with:

Damn it, we want to replace my wives current car with a 2013+ Touareg TDI in the next year. Either that or hope to get a “new” 2015 or 2016 unsold one on a super good lease. Effing California.
