Hey, those look pretty darn cool. I’ve seen people post those boxes but didn’t know what they were. Neat.

Congrats! Sounds like you are taking great care of yourself and your family. Thanks for sharing the brand you like. Finding good skin products that are affordable and that actually work should always be shared! In the future I might need to add some Vitamin C to my routine so I’ll keep that in mind.
Beauty Thread:
I saw an interview of her where she was exactly like a little mini Aaron Sorkin. Like preaching against the media with what sounded like a word for word script from the Newsroom and being super haughty about it. I think I could deal with that but she seems to take herself pretty seriously these days.
I’m on a no-buy and I won’t really miss them since they’re so messy. But I’ve always loved hoodies and already have my favorite black AA hoodie that I will take care of to last me.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I’m watching the the carpet live stream on twitter (don’t judge, I like to see the dresses). So far there’s a lot of this floating floral trend. I remember seeing that years back but I guess that’s a thing this year? I guess it’s a different way to play on the nude-illusion look that’s getting kinda played out.
I’ve seen other people’s strategies but just provided a quick example. The main point is to just not buzz in too soon. I’ve heard people who are on the show say it makes a significant difference, but if it’s not of importance to her she doesn’t have to further research it. Just thought it might be something to…
That’s awesome! Good luck. I’ve heard the buzzer strategy can be just as important as having the right answer.
Netflix movies: Sing Street, Other People, Spa Night
Love Insecure and The Night Of. Insecure really exceeded my expectations and I was already on board. I love the music on that show too, lots of female rappers I haven’t heard. I think the soundtrack came out on Spotify.
The only drama the last season provided was the Russian phone hacker girlfriend. I gave up on Happily Ever After so I don’t know how Danielle and Mohammed are doing, but I can probably take a wild guess.
What is divorce like? I haven’t heard anyone talk about it since it came out so I always scroll past it on HBOGO. Is it funny? Dark/depressing?
So I clicked through and some of these dresses look more just like...metallics? Rather than Game of thrones-esque armor/chains? Is this just a way to make it sound cooler and appeal to people who like fantasy? Like Michelle Obama’s dress just looks like a bronze dress. I’ve noticed metallic and bronze are in style,…
A lot of people quit their jobs to be on reality television. My mom asked me why the majority of the women were from California. Reality shows cast more average people 10 years ago, now they are getting a majority of people who are around/want to be in the entertainment industry or are popular on social media.
I do use an eye cream already but stick to the drugstore ones. I’ve gotten a little better versed in ingredients so I know that’s more important than the label or the price. Ceramides are a good ingredient and CeraVe isn’t known for being harsh or fragranced so that makes sense. My eye cream has hyaluronic acid which…
Oh okay. Thanks, I’m always up for learning something new.
No shame in that! Some people wear no makeup so it might seem a little nutty but when I try to explain it to my boyfriend I just say that no, it’s not like I need every product but a lot of people consider beauty their hobby. Like how he buys games every week when he hasn’t finished playing his old ones and he…
Just curious, can I ask you why moisturizers shouldn’t touch the eye area? I’ve heard that the skin is more delicate so therefore I use eye cream to give it that attention, but I still will layer the moisturizer on top. Is the skin just too sensitive to products that might have fragrance and stuff?
I’m a big Ulta fan. I usually save Sephora for luxury buys and get mid end stuff at Ulta plus little add ons that I don’t need to splurge on. Body stuff, cheap lashes, tools, etc. One of my favorite products there is a St. Tropez self tanner dupe that’s like $15 (St. Moritz) that I think works just as well as any $40…
