Wholeheartedly agree with the first half of your post.

I do know why you're saying that, but until you've financially contributed to a success (and possibly a failure) then you can't really objectively comment. I don't think anyone contributes to Kickstarter because it's a 'hip' thing to do - sure, you have kickstarters who jump on the bandwagon but you might as well say

In some instances, it's not possible to raise the money themselves. In others, it's worth risking that $5-10.

This isn't personally my usual type of game, but it looks great - I'm loving the character animation in particular.

Kickstarter gave me the opportunity to fund a hugely unique and beautiful gift for my girlfriend who lives on a different continent. For all the fakes on there, I will never think badly of Kickstarter unless something radically changes. That's the fault of the people who put the projects forward, not Kickstarter

"This all depends on how one looks at value."

+1, I'd love to know the answer to this.

"‘Look, I know what I'm doing. Buying my stories is part of what the deal is.' I've worked at this for 40 years, and I've been pretty successful,"

Why don't you start a Kickstarter for a counter argument then and see how well you can put it together? The answer is because if you ever got it funded, and given the level of hostility towards Sarkeesian that's certainly possible, your arguments would be ripped to shreds - assuming they could stand up by themselves

An "I still want to do Shenmue III" article from Suzuki seems to come out once every year or two.

Absolutely definitely yes, in my experience at least. Ever since I've had two monitors in my latest job, I feel constricted using only one at home. Vote Yes!

It was the first thing I saw!

Why were there no children presenters at the PlayStation 4 event? Because children don't make games.

This is one of those articles that really opens up the bag of dicks to spill all over our nice progressive carpet.

STOP MAKING SENSE!

Please don't mention the "story" of BF3. I've still got three sessions to go before my therapist says I can move on from that experience.

Is that an endless runner in the true sense? It looks like the player can slow the avatar down. But either way, an endless runner Mario would make a whole lot of sense. I'd definitely play it!
