I'm not sure this is racism. They haven't made him look Asian so that they can have an Asian character, they've made this 'actor' who they wanted in the film look like Glenn, and so gave him Asian features.

This is the second very similar attempt I've seen at this, and I don't know why anyone thinks it could be "perfect." Remember what perfect actually means, because it's quite a big word to be throwing around.
The very first that registered for me, much as I think it did for everyone else, was: TITS!
Raise your hand if you don't understand the issues!
Fellow gamers - read this with an open mind. Videogames have taken an unfair kicking over the past few decades, but that doesn't mean there aren't issues that need to be addressed. To pretend that gaming is completely innocence is only possible if you don't read the article, and only makes our situation worse in the…
..and to not miss a very important point, there's a definite possibility it has real world implications when the player steps out of the virtual world.
I donated to this campaign, but since then I haven't been able to escape the feeling that she's the wrong person to be a figurehead for a very noble cause.
In a way, I think that makes him worse - he doesn't care about the ethics, he's just there for the cash and is willing to hurt anyone to get it. At least the Daleks really are just following orders.
Oh that's what they all say.. "I was just doing my job!"
I'm just going to end up arguing with you in circles here, because I don't know how to say any of the above without repeating myself and you're failing to see even when I agree with you. While you may be an expert in gamification, you actually come across as being quite aggressive with it and patronising, which isn't…
"Valorum was in the movie for like 2 seconds." Stamp is a legendary and highly talented actor. If Lucas can piss him off even just for shorting a tiny scene, that says a lot.
Nice work dude, this video really made me smile.
CONGRATULATIONS! You are my douche of the Day!
What are you arguing against? I mostly just agreed with you.
I don't think I'd dispute most of what you said, as it just reinforces my point - most attempts at gamification have used it arbitrarily. So it's been dismissed as a fad, and that's why there's the invective you mentioned.. thus answering your initial question :)
The character in that screencap is so shamelessly, so obviously ripped off from TF.. I really hope that whoever's responsible for that doesn't tell people they're a graphic artist or 3D modeller at parties, because that would imply a skill beyond mere replication of a superior's work.
There've been very few good examples of it being implemented, and I personally can't think of any. Mainly it's been used to arbitrarily assign points to tasks, which doesn't automatically make something a game (and just makes it boring and thus doesn't produce results). As a result, it's largely been dismissed as a…
"Only question is the build quality of the thing..."
Yes, I've watched them. I don't recall those statistics you quoted being accurate. If you want to clarify what "food for thought" means then please do, because while I'm not a fan of leave-your-brain-at-the-door crapfests like Transformers, Battleship etc., not every film has to be The Tree Of Life or The Seventh…
Generally considered? Sure, the ending was pretty bad, but it managed to keep going and have audiences gripped in a way for numerous series that no film could ever manage and relatively few series ever do either. Plus, that writing for that ending was a result of Damen 'Prometheus' Lindlhof so I'll give Abrams a…
