But did you also hear him say that he wasn’t going to lecture Trump on how to lead. Which implies Trump needs a goddamn lecture on how to lead. Mmm mmm Canadian passive aggressive goodness right there.

Purely anecdotal here, but the people who seem most upset by the broken electoral reform promise weren’t Trudeau supporters to begin with.

“I’m so sorry to do this to you Donald, but my wife just called and said the maple syrup floods have gotten really bad and I have to get home to lead the search and rescue sled dogs. But we should definitely do this again some time k bye!”

I was actually gob smacked at the masterful passive-agression going on. And the flipping between English and French MEGA-power move!

It’s because it comes in bags. As milk should.

Just so we’re clear, Canada will NOT take Paul Ryan. Hard pass.

Is it me or does Paul Ryan’s laugh look panicky? Like he gets that this is the last time in his life when he will get even a tad bit of respect? I think he’s so busy self-talking “Calm down. Cool it, Paul! It’s going to be ok, they’ll go after Trump first. You’ll have time to leave the country.”

Based on quick-draw Google searches, California has 3 million more people than Canada.

And you know that once you invite California, Washingon and Oregon are going to want to come. And then New York will look at you seductively, and before you know it, you’re spelling colour wrong and using Fahrenheit.

Actually, I see a lot of similarities between Trump and Harper. The misogyny wasn’t as obvious and the racism was toned down, but the denial of refugees, focus on terrorism and stoking fear, attacks on the press and judiciary were from the same script.

During the press conference he straight up through passive aggressive shade at the President over the wall. He quoted Winston Churchill about the Canadian border serving as an example for the future of borders. That was a straight up grade a poli-sci debate school dis with delicious passive aggression sprinkled atop.

I just zoned out imagining Trudeau beating the shit out of Trump while yelling about feminism and refugee’s rights. I think I just achieved Nirvana.

The whole deal with Abe last week was a cultural nightmare; the long, lingering handshake (the Japanese don’t really shake hands, that’s a western thing), the staring directly at him (seen as threatening), it’s all so deliciously fardo!

I think that his businesses fail because he doesn’t read (perhaps dyslexic) and he is not very smart (unrelated to not reading). He picks someone to trust and those people sometimes get things wrong.

Our new PM is young and trying hard to be a great leader. He’s also in the deep end of the pool and learning quickly that theres no free lunch. He has Canada’s interests at heart, his halo period is coming to an end and he’ll have to make some unpopular decisions.

Oh it get’s better. Trudeau is HATED by the alt right as a kind of avatar of the type of politician they dislike. The word cuck gets thrown around a great deal in their circle as it is but they really mean it with him.

This, of course is the same everywhere. Obama’s disapproval was almost as bad on the farthest left sites in the US as it was on the far right, while the personal (not job) approval ratings were always high.

I bet Trump has been doing this handshake his entire adult life. It was probably a life lesson from his father Fred Trump or his other father Roy Cohn about “winning the handshake,” or having a powerful “first move.” He probably grips as hard as he can then he yanks the other party toward himself so that other

So he’s your Obama. Cause it sounds like he’s your Obama.

Trudeau is a refreshing change from our previous Prime Minister Harper in many, many ways, but he is a politician, first and foremost. What that means is that regardless of his personal or stated positions on anything, he has to make concessions to certain political realities.

He is a pretty awesome human being.
