Eh. I think the comparison comes from the fact somebody may look at the GT or Taycan and note how quick/stylish/etc they are as an EV. They will also look at them the same way most of us look at a Lamborghini, as a pipe-dream.

tbf, I think the whole “cult thing” is a bit blown out of proportion. Especially when it’s for clicks. Most of the owners of Tesla I know are just normal middle-class people who, now that I think about it, have never mentioned Elon Musk. They just like their EVs.

The only auto-sport I would consider streaming is F1 but they keep a death-grip on streaming and whatnot so idk if they would ever move outside of established networks.
