Yeah, that's probably accurate.
Yeah, that's probably accurate.
Something else that screwed me up was taking the time the last few months to watch all of Twin Peaks. I hadn't done that in decades, so I wanted to watch it all before The Return. So that was all my binge time right there for the last three months.
That's one I'm all caught up with. I watched it in real time. Saul and Leftovers are normally shows I watch in real time, too, but I got behind on both and now need to slot them in as my next binges. I'm usually only able to keep up with 2 or 3 shows a week. Sometimes 4. So if I'm watching that many in real time,…
Have they announced Chris Christie's casting yet?
Goldsman. Always Goldsman.
I was worried when I learned it was A Sombra Corporation Production.
I'll keep an open mind and be pleasantly surprised if this movie turns out the be good, but I'm exceedingly skeptical that anything Akiva Goldsman has a major hand can be any good at all. But I guess we will see.
I'm glad we don't learn more. It'll make her use in the show more surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if she washed her hands of her family and Twin Peaks, and that she only returns to our story reluctantly.
The Umbers and Karstarks in the room were kids, but many men who participated in the defection from the Starks will now go unpunished. So it's essentially the same thing. Jon only held the heads of the houses responsible.
It's fine. Global.gross will be the deciding factor.
I did say only half.
CNN pulling random crackpots off the street seems very believable. It's how they got half their analysts.
I'm not as confident in this as I may have made it sound. It just struck me hard tonight. But I'm perfectly willing to believe I am way off base.
Elsewhere I argued that Lynch is above fridging, which here I seem to be saying he is gong to do. So maybe I'm just full of it. I'm not sure. But I do think that Janey-E has received far more respect and development than a cliched fridge victim. So much so, in fact, that I think her death could be exactly the sort of…
I'm not sure how you tell a story about misogyny and rape culture without showing horrifying violence against women. It's not like it's ever shown in any way but to absolutely indict the practitioners. His use of violence is about as far from fridging as you can possibly get.
Janey-E is going to die. That is the one thing I feel as if they are telegraphing. Probably Sonny Jim, too. It might just be the bucket of ice water that'll wake Cooper up, and it would relieve him of the moral responsibility for them that I'm sure regular Cooper would feel he had to assume. It's also the one tragedy…
I feel like Cooper will join the Mueller investigation as its lead investigator.
I've rated every episode some form of an A so far, but this one was the first time it felt as if the show were really spinning its wheels narratively. Aside from putting the Vegas boys into Dougie, nothing really happened. The Richard stuff was disturbing as hell, but seemed superfluous in that we didn't learn…
Every character who has returned for more than a cameo has been used for a specific purpose, so it seems right that Audrey wouldn't show until it was time for her to become significant. I'm not sure just getting two minutes of her here and there is how I want to see Audrey. She should probably be central once she…
It is rather amusing that people can accept that a dead face mask can come to life and even disguise her voice, but to have it do more than that enters into unbelievable magic.
