Well, I am grutesque.
Well, I am grutesque.
I'd rather have cancerAIDS.
The most ridiculous thing in this article is that Kathleen Kennedy thought the standout from the latest Coen Brothers picture needed an acting coach. Would that it were so.
The Host would be near the top of my list of films to recommend to people unsure if they'd like a foreign film with subtitles. He had the chilling and hilarious mixture working perfectly in that one.
Lego Batmam is also very good, but not on the level of The Lego Movie. But it's probably the best non-Dark Knight Batman movie ever made.
I'm not swallowing that Miller and Lord were screwing up the story with improv. That is the Lucasfulm line, and there is no evidence to support it (nor will there likely ever be). But yeah, obviously watch Kasadan's early filmography. The guy was brilliant at one time. Body Heat, The Accidental Tourist and The Big…
S2 finale is still pretty good, but it's not on the level of that first season or the early S2 episodes. But the Black Lodge sequence is pretty bugfuck and chilling. It's also something worth watching for its relationship to S3. After watching the entire run, I'd advise newbies to watch 1-15, then skip to the last two…
I imagine Richard Beymer will look the same.
I know. I looked her up. I was actually a bit disappointed, because I really want a subplot of James Hurley banging a haggard old crone. I'm picture James and someone like the witch from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.
Great. This makes me nervous about picking my eventual jury.
Fleming. Ian Fleming.
Hey, why not get the person who directs the Star Wars toy commercials. Give me a fucking break. Yeah, SW and Raiders launched franchises because journeymen just listened to the suits who know best.
Thanks for your input, Mrs Kasdan.
Kasdan was a lion in his day. The Big Chill is a masterpiece. Silverado is a bit of a mess, but it's wonderful. And check him out as the weary cop in one scene in Into The Night. But his day had long passed, and The Lego Movie is more original than anything he or Lucasfilm has done in decades. Even 21 Jump Street is…
These people defending the studio and calling Kathleen Kennedy a filmmaker are nuts. You know who studios tried to fire? The inexperienced, weirdo directors of Star Wars, Jaws and The Godfather. And all those producers had.a ton of movies and money attached to their names.
That this has happened on both the stand alone movies with two very different sets of directors suggests this is very much the studio's fault. And while they make money, the final products to date have been pretty generic, so I don't weep for Kathleen Kennedy and her checkbook moviemaking.
Are you joking? At this point I'd let you direct a movie before George Lucas.
Like Kasdan or Ron Howard.
Body Heat is great. But again, a hundred years ago. Kasdan's work the last fifteen years has been garbage. There is a reason he hasn't directed a film since Dreamcatcher.
Kasdan has some classic films, no doubt, but recently he's Mumford, Dreamcatcher and other shit. Give me Lord and Miller.
