The Witch is, I think. Planning on checking it out tonight or tomorrow.

You made me laugh out loud.

Keep trying.

Yes. Very kind of you.

I also enjoyed 9. I just think the show has been sliding downhill since around 6-7. Up through the end of 5, I was mad about the show, and I thought most episodes were wonderful. Subpar back then meant "still better than 99% of television."

Maybe not the worst, as there are clunkers in act long running show, but certainly in the conversation. While I find the fifth season stunning., as a whole I far prefer the Davies run from 1 to 4. Ironically, several of the best episodes were written by Moffat, but it's pretty clear now that the combination of the two

This explains why the prequels are better than Star Wars, Enterprise is better than TOS, and Prometheus is miles better than Alien.

Die Another Day gets a recommendation?

I totally get that. I have no desire to defend A&E, which is noxious.

I've heard terrible things about Rogue One from people I trust. Even positive reviews from critics that I have read or listened to do not match the overall grade they give the movie. So I see a B or a B+, then I read the review and it sounds like a D.

Having not seen Rogue (and not planning on it until the DVD hits my library, if then), I can't pile on like I want to. But having seen the dreck that was Episode VII, I feel pretty confident that you're right on the money, save for the fact that I know an enormous number of Boomers and Millennials who think the same

Your spunk?

Possibly, but that's like blaming the victim. Some people are psychos, and they'll be that way with or without TV shows, or any other motivator. But a lot of people in America who are not themselves particularly racist are totally unaware of the level of virulent racism in America. And the racists they do see, like

He does listen to Hans Zimmer when he wants to masturbate.

Be nice to see a series that showed the KKK for what it is, with a weekly reminder that these people are hateful vermin. I have no idea if this was going to be that show, but there is obviously a crying need for such a show on American TV.

Yes, I remember those previous episodes. I thought this one much worse. Much, much worse. I was bored, and the characters were one-note, and any scene that wasn't focused on the Doctor was a total slog. For my money, The Wardrobe was ten times better. It may have been the least of previous specials, but this one

This episode made Doctor Who into not just a full blown kid's show, but a kid's show from the 70's. It was fine, but it was decidedly a lesser thing. Certainly it was the worst of the Christmas specials, and it ranks for me as one of the worst of the NuWho episodes ever made. To even take it apart would be giving it

The Pokemon joke was excellent. Most of the rest was decidedly subpar. I think I'm ready for Moffat to move on.

I enjoyed it quite a bit straight to the end.

As per usual, playing along at home by myself with no witnesses, I was a perfect 100%.
