That's a show I'd watch.

Chickens exist to be killed, but I think we can all agree that raping one is a line most people aren't comfortable crossing.

The original Westworld movie was very good at the technical world building. Crichton put a ton of thought into how the park would run, and how it could break down. And then he put even more effort into layering in all kinds of sound design filled with stray bits of business the techs are doing in the background, and

When it comes to guest on guest violence, I think we're more interested in that than is the show. The lack of interest in the mechanics of designing and operating the park is very distracting. The more realistically you build out the everyday things in fantasy stories, the more impact the fantastical stuff has.

Using fantasy to critique the mediums of storytelling is getting pretty common, but I do think it's the best part of this show (apart from the acting, especially Wright & Wood). I dig that they are leaning into the dehumanization of actors (or just fictional characters, if you prefer, but I think of the hosts as stand

Wish Tom Hanks would show up. Best celeb fan moment so far was his shoutout to the Tribe on SNL.

Man, asshole co-worker is this show at its nadir. I sure hope that long break they took cleans that shit up. While the show is diverting enough, and possesses some very good acting, it's thinly veiled metaphor about storytelling only goes so far when it gets so ham-handed with asshole co-worker and asshole

As an Ohio resident, let me just say that we are definitely losing here. While it's pretty annoying to see the mania over celebrity Cubs superfans, trying to counter with this asshat is like forfeiting. When the best you can do is a has-been publicity whore trying to ride on your coattails, you might as well just

Boo!

Even more late 80's. Sort of a not as good Quantum Leap. But it's been perfect for me this year. This election has had a weird effect on my TV viewing. I'm not inclined to watch anything intellectually challenging at the moment, so this slots in perfectly between my bad action movies and old 80's & 90's TV shows from

The Abrams movies, I mean. And the latest one really tanked.

This was a pretty bad movie, but it likely made good money. It did shit in the US, but apparently it made 140 million worldwide, on what had to be a not very substantial budget. At least it sure didn't look like they spent much on it.

Personally, I'm going with

Yeah, but I'm still going to eat Trolls. It fills the hole inside me.

Cotton balls!

Yeah, what about Mr Met?

I got some bad news for you about Opie & Aunt Bea.

He used to live down the block from my dorm in NYC. He'd walk his dog up and down the block. It's gross now that I know what he was doing to that dog.

Speaking of which, wait'll you find out about Armando Benitez.

So, The Family Plot isn't an masterpiece?
