If people are willing to give them a billion dollars a pop, then I.can't blame them. I can't watch it, but I.can't blame them.

Is this your considered academic opinion based on years of study of voluminous data?

Is this satire?

Hell yeah. Be the first time I paid to see a Bond movie in twenty years.

S'why I said someday instead of yesterday.

Someday Bill Cosby will be the THE text book example of how rape is about power and not sex.

Hey, hey, hey!

I was going to make a snarky remark, but these comments are a universe of bitter. Good lord, people, grab some self awareness.

We wouldn't be the first to do so.

By 68, it was far too late to take Vietnam back. Who knows what ending the war could have meant, but I think he was toast at that point. After losing the south, he could not afford any Vietnam. It tore the country apart, and it threw the party into chaos. I simplified, yes, but this is just a comment section. In a

You started arguing about what the fans today want, as opposed to what was actually printed the last fifty years, which is what we were talking about. You were goalpost moving, which is the stock in trade of a lot of people. But you're doing well having that conversation with yourself, with which I gather you've had

Now that I've finally managed to finish Jurassic World on my fifth try (always picking up where I last left off), I feel lucky to be able to watch a much better movie, like say Jurassic Park III.

You're doing exactly what so many do, judging it all by today's standards. You can cite every single moment of every single female character practically through the history of movies, TV, comics, literature, whatever (with a few outlier exceptions) and say, "IS THAT NOT SEXIST AS HELL?????"

Maybe I'm conflating movies with the history books I've read, but I've never felt that people like Moses, Carmichael, Roy Wilkins and the like have been minimized. It just cannot be denied that King was a towering figure long before his death, and one who wielded more influence than all the other leaders combined.

The true assessment is that Johnson started it. It began under Ike, and as I said here it became a wider, realer thing under Kennedy (who I don't think would have ever allowed it to mushroom out of control as it did, and I am not one to normally effuse over what JFK "might have done"), but it was really Johnson who

Well, now you are arguing something entirely different, so maybe best you continue the conversation by yourself.

I gave you the wrong impression. I think DD is a piece of shit (albeit one that had four really solid episodes to start its first season before careening right into a ditch), and that the female character problem is merely the most glaring of a host of… well …. everything but stunts.

I've never found Marvel to be behind the societal curve on these issues until the 2000's, at which point their female depictions began to be retrograde for the times. But they've made up for it in a big way the past five years.

Translation: "I've seen how those knuckleheads handle female characters on Daredevil, but I trust Krysten to tell them to fuck off when appropriate."

I can't decide if this make you a mutant for good or evil.
