Not that eating before bed in general is good for you, but that eating some form of protein before bed is.

Also, the mice were allowed to eat from "ZT13 through ZT21", i.e., 1PM-9PM.

Never mind, found it.

Yeah, this says nothing about eating earlier in the day. It's entirely about "time-restricted feeding". This just further demonstrates the benefits of intermittent fasting.

Do you have a link to the study, perhaps? At first glance, at least, this just seems to reaffirm the benefits of intermittent fasting, and I'd like to read it to see for myself.

If you choose your divergent views intelligently, you can usually be right. That's the point I'm trying to make. Do more than just read the studies and opinions. If a growing minority of new researchers hold a divergent viewpoint than a majority of established researchers, it's pretty likely that hubris,

I would disagree that going to college "weed[s] out those who are prone to confirmation bias". Do good colleges teach scientists to recognize and watch out for it? Certainly. But they're still just humans, and, like all humans, will be less than receptive to new ideas that contradict the consensus as it was when they

That was partially my point: that older, probably more respected scientists have a lot of pull in extending the life of their theories, especially if the theories have been around for a long time, but science will still continue to move forward regardless.

Of course, because someone being labeled a scientist instantly makes them super-human machines with the ability to never fall prey to such simple things that plague us normal humans. I don't even know why I'm bothering to reply to someone who immediately resorts to being an asshole. Perhaps to show my gratitude for

This. Someone having the title of doctor doesn't mean their opinion is more valuable than anyone else's concerning areas outside of their expertise.

It's important to note, too, that scientists are just as fallible and prone to confirmation bias as the rest of us. Researchers who have spent 20+ years of their lives working in a certain paradigm probably aren't going to be too receptive to new ideas, so it's good to get to know the writers of the papers you base

This times 9000000000. It's ridiculous how far off articles can be from the studies.

Kerrygold, my friend.

Feature creep, much?

Also important: fat with your fat-soluble vitamins. Kale w/ butter, anyone?

You've got the wrong guy. He's the one who wrote the pastry/donut thesis.

Ehhh

Aren't these basically the main points in iOS vs Android?

You can view the subjects of every email in their system (from any user). That's not a _huge_ deal, but I'll wait until they show more of a commitment to privacy before using this.
