OK I have two problems with your comment and they’re both apostrophes.  1) apostrophes do not make plurals.  It’s “touches” not “touch’s”.  2) when omitting something, the apostrophe goes where the thing is omitted, so ‘83 not 83'.  Also cool bike.

To sum up, that all sounds like a lot of justification for something that at the end of the day should be fault tolerant, and wasn’t.
