I have a piece of furniture that came “distressed” from the factory, some of which was obviously done with a router. It bothers me.

The good news is the truck isn’t stuck any more.
Well I wouldn’t be going from sea level to 15k. But thanks for the link.
17 isn’t 21. It may sound like “only” 4 mpg but that’s a 24% gain. Whether that’s worth the hybrid system is another question.
If the tortilla is folded in half it’s a taco. If it’s rolled into a cylinder it’s a burrito. Personally I have never seen a breakfast taco.
So what makes this so much more dangerous than an ultralight (which it is according to FAA regulations)? Or are you opposed to those too?
Problem is, you can’t fly at 15,000 feet without supplemental oxygen.
Is the Rimac actually a production vehicle? They can be ordered by the sort of person who has millions of dollars laying around?
Also “front fork”. Does your motorcycle also have a rear fork??
People pretty consistently underestimate the pace of technological development. Things not only get better, they get better (and cheaper) at a faster and faster rate. Despite the amazing advances we’ve seen in the past 40 years, it is always difficult to imagine what we will achieve in the next 40.
I think it comes down to the database
I expect we’ll have level 4 for the long empty stretches of interstate between cities in 20 years or less. That’s far easier to manage than an urban center.
If I’m not mistaken, if it can only drive itself on 90% of roads, that’s not level 5 but level 4. Level 5 is 100% autonomous in all scenarios on all roads and parking lots. No steering wheel needed.
I’m not sure any amount of power was the answer considering how bad the handling was.
The S2000 was not turbocharged.
In such a busy city, how does one not notice the cacophany of noise coming through an open door and think the car is a bit louder than it should be while in motion?
If you mean how easy it is for consumers to do this to their own cars, I doubt it. I don’t see anyone doing this to a Mini they’ve purchased, and I doubt BMW does either.
If this were a consumer product, yes. This is just an experiment - a one-off. The environment cost of disposing of one car’s interior and paint is negligible.
Cork would hold up really well over time, exposure to sunlight, and such, but wouldn’t it get nicked and scratched very easily?
