I would think a large couch, four poster bed, and three (assuming large) bookcases would easily exceed $3000.

I’m not sure how much it matters. If the computer doesn’t correctly identify a hazard (or identifies one that isn’t there), it’s going to do the wrong thing whether there’s a trailer attached or not. The consequences could be more severe due to additional mass, but I don’t know that accidents would be any more likely.
getting people more comfortable with letting go of the wheel
Can the truck determine the weight of the trailer?
It makes sure the driver is awake and looking at the road. That’s the best they can do, and it’s pretty good, but it’s not really possible to determine if they are actually paying attention.
The things AVs struggle the most with are recognizing objects and predicting their paths. Figuring out what the vehicle is doing and controlling it is not something they have a problem with. The trailer affecting the path of the vehicle is something that can be mitigated with minute attention to detail and rapid…
A brand new Ducati superbike is not penny pinching, that would be a used SV650. ;-)
How are they sent?
I’m looking for the nuclear wessels. In Alameda.
You may or may not have noticed the car market has changed in the past 2 years.
Just an off the wall idea that may not work at all. Wrap it in aluminum foil.
Cool, I’ve seen the Midway and Intrepid but didn’t know about the Hornet.
Those were questions, not comments. You can tell by the question mark at the end. And generally questions are asked out of ignorance, otherwise there is no reason to ask.
In case you missed it:
The idea of taking over at Level 3 is about the system handing it back to the driver, not the driver having to monitor the car.
Which carrier?
When you are talking about slow bumper to bumper traffic, that’s actually level 3,
It doesn’t matter what it’s not trying to be; any system that drives the car but also requires the driver to be alert and ready to take control is dangerous, worse than nothing, and should be outlawed. Humans are just not capable of doing this task reliably.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s a regular tie down. If you do know what you’re doing, a rope can be easily secured in about two seconds.
Actual motorcycle vests come with the cylinder.
