But for the most part, it is kind of a scam. It’s just blended at the pump, gas stations only have tanks for the highest and lowest octane gas.

Bottom line is that in an engine designed to run well on 87 octane, an equivalent quality 93 octane will be more likely to leave carbon deposits than the 87 octane.
It is not a meaningless metric.
Ethanol increases the octane rating, so your engine requiring pure gas has nothing to do with octane.
“Americans do not understand the difference between a road and a street."
Hm, shorter cars would result in more passing and more exciting racing?
I’m not saying it’s not intended to be a noose, but this is what I think of when I hear about a hangman’s noose:
Actually population is now growing at a slower and slower clip. It’s forecast to peak around 10 billion.
From 2019: “The maximum permissible vessel length remains officially at 366 meters, but the Panama Canal Authority makes exemptions for ships such as the TRITON, and may increase the permitted length to 369 meters after successful tests.” Then again, that’s from an article claiming the Panama Canal is 369 meters…
1970 Dodge Dart. I don’t believe it had A/C but it doesn’t really matter because the interior was black vinyl. Forget sweating, we had to put towels on the seats in the summer to not get burned.
What you need to do is make a clear plastic valve cover so you can watch as the engine runs.
There really isn’t another option if it proves to not be up to the task, as the next nearest bridge is seventy miles downriver in Helena, Arkansa.
This is an ex-beam! Hopefully it’s not pining for the fjords river below.
Or the Toyota Kris Kross.
Also I would enjoy his take on your username.
At a quick glance it looks like decent examples can be had for 8-10,000. I know that’s a lot more, but it still seems like a better choice than a wrecked car with a salvage title that will cost some unknown amount of money to repair.
When I wrote the very first op-ed piece decrying the growing popularity of unsafe, ecologically unfriendly, sport utility vehicles... my continued interest in – and growing collection of — old cars lent me a sort of
credibilityhypocrisy.
PornCatOnManAnal is definitely good for a laugh.
I wasn’t quite 100% precise. GDP / hours worked = productivity. If we assume that hours worked correlates directly with population, which isn’t entirely true, then you get to the statement I made. Note “correlates” and we know the difference between correlation and causation.
It sounds like you should have just watched a documentary instead. This might be a good climate article but it's a poor film review. I'd stick to emergency management.
