Did you read the whole thing? That topic is mentioned.
But it would remove street parking and people are losing their minds because now they have to drive around back and walk 20 more steps vs parking right in front of the shop.
While it is certainly a good idea, being civil and respectful toward police is not a guarantee of escaping the situation unharmed or even alive. Let us not pretend that it is a solution to the problem - even a partial one. The problem is police, not the people they are abusing.
Yes, it’s called NREL - National Renewable Energy Laboratory Flatirons Campus.
I thought the purpose of these was to be big and expensive and stupid. Mission accomplished! Speaking of three axle trucks...
Depends how much the motor weighs. Increasing unsprung weight has consequences.
I don’t believe there is a hybrid motorcycle. The weight penalty of carrying both an engine and a battery would be quite extreme in such a small vehicle, and it would be challenging to find where to put everything. Then there’s the issue of a huge increase in unsprung weight at the front wheel from the hub motor.
Biofuel seems like a better idea.
I look forward to seeing it some time! Is that photo at NREL? The most surprising car I remember at the C&C was a Ford GT - the new one.
Amazingly, I never said it was just as fast. I said it was more than capable of handling any required speed on the road in question.
it felt like a 45 minute show that had 45 minutes of padding added to make it into a 90 minute movie.
That sounds wise. Yeah I was really impressed, I did not expect so much cool hardware. If I remember right, it was February 2020, you went to that one?
If Australians use their cars like people in the US do, then most of them could probably make use of one electric car and one gas car. I’m just assuming most households in Australia have two cars.
RAM prices are increasing
A really long stretch of road with no gas (maybe the longest) in the US is 250-300km. We just don’t have anything remotely like what you’re describing. For a typical vehicle*, there is just no road trip** in the US where you have to bring your own fuel. I’m not sure if it sounds really cool or if I would get…
You complain about GT3 but you have no problem with “e-fuel”?
What do you mean “no”? You’re telling me my experiences with that vehicle on that road didn’t happen?
Cool, thanks. FB Cars & Coffee is how I found the one.
OK, but my V6 van can go as fast as I want up I-70 as well. The difference is I’m guessing you are getting better mileage doing it.
