So, Lobsters, you've called Obama a "cocksucker" and Soledad O'Brien "this Soledad Obama bitch" and a "piece of shit." You're making a very strong, well-reasoned case for yourself and your politics.

Look, Lobsters, if you want to insist on piping up with bullshit because everyone here realizes what a fucking farce Sarah Palin was, at least come up with better material than "Jon Stewart isn't funny" and "Tina Fey isn't pretty or funny." I'm sure you can find something good about the conservative party to trumpet.

Yes, Lobsters, because Jon Stewart is most definitely not funny. Yeesh.

Never mind.

My best friend from college is a HUGE conservative. I still have a hard time reconciling that one. He called Hillary Clinton a "fucking C*%t." Ugh.

Factual error in the review: IT has "eight WEEKS instead of 10"; it should be "eight MONTHS instead of 10."

Maybe the Darkness was playing on his lawn and he was mad.

I don't quite get your point, but I think I agree. As you might be able to tell by my avatar, I have no problem with 70s rock excess. These bands do their acts out of admiration, not disdain. And the bottom line is, The Darkness completely rocks. Their riffs/solos are really excellent. Who cares whether there's a

I'm pretty new to The Darkness — just saw them in Chicago on Saturday. I'd thought they were a novelty, jokey band and was there for a laugh. But man, they absolutely killed it. Completely tight, and awesome showmanship. Justin jumped into the crowd from the top of the speakers — had to be at least 15 feet off the

You know what would have been really hilarious? If she smashed a beer bottle across your fucking face! So funny! LOLZ!!!1!!!!1!!

Your band sucks.

No one's saying they're the next rock savior. And they're a fuck of a lot more listenable than John Spencer.

I'm not trying to track you down and berate you. But I don't think they're lionized. I think a lot of people who like them (myself included) are bewildered at their huge success. I don't praise them, I don't LOVE them. But I've seen them in concert (in small/medium sized venues) and they rocked the shit.

Clearly, they're not a revolutionary band. They're not reinventing the wheel, they don't write (too many) songs that really resonate emotionally. But I'd argue they have a really good sound, they play well together, and — most importantly — they have some really fucking good tunes.

Disagree. They're good, sometimes very good, occasionally great. All of their albums prove this, but "Chulahoma"? Holy shit, that is great. They hit something really deep there.

Henry Krinkle: "Lights Out" (the album) and "Obsession" are excellent. The latter is recorded kinda weird — the drums are way too up in the mix, for starters — but Schenker is at his finest. I mean, listen to the fills on this tune. It's insane.

I'd put UFO right there with them.

A guy I know, like, and respect posted really positive things about that Superheavy (SuperHeavy? Super Heavy?) album. I couldn't get it in the slightest.

They're the worst. The absolute worst.
