I’m trying to imagine what the reaction on the right would be if universities started asking ISIS propagandists to give talks on university campuses, just “to expose students to the full spectrum of ideas.”

It’s exhausting that so many people on the left thought the riot was a win for the left. The right could not have asked for a better outcome.
They were worried about violent confrontations like the ones that recently plagued the campus. I do think the people engaging in violence ind property damage were idiots. They gave the right everything they could have asked for on a silver platter.
Choosing from the mainstream ultra-conservative crowd, could you name 1 or 2 that aren’t trolls for the right, who also might be welcomed at UCB? Also, taking into account the school’s history on social matters, do you think conservative speakers would ever be welcomed there?
Coulter’s not doing it to start a dialogue but to troll the left so she and other conservatives can claim to be “victimized” by a bunch of PC SJW’s. It’s just a stunt. to feed the Right’s constant diet of resentment. Besides, does anyone really think Anne Coulter has anything of value to say anyways?
If you get angry and heated it makes it easier for the opposing party to either dismiss you or get angry back. It’s much harder to do that in the face of calm rationality. Good on you for not spitting in their faces, however much their racist visages deserved a good saliva barrage.
Liberals need safe spaces because they are whiny crybabies. Conservatives need safe spaces because... they’re afraid of the whiny crybabies?
Legit question here. Exactly where the security concerns directed towards? Did they believe UCB students would start shooting? Bombs??? Fighting??? Riots...what?
No joke, the cropped version of the dress at the top of this article is the first time I’ve automatically seen it as the “correct” way, which is blue and black. I always see it white and gold normally.
Can we please make fun of Steve Bannon for his many horrible ideas and not his skin condition?
Apparently the whole notion of the hymen as this thin tissue that breaks once and is gone is wrong. It stretches (or can tear—hence sometimes bleeding) but it’s still there & doesn’t prevent penetration. So a super-healing woman would just have a nicely stretched one.
Seconded! Besides, I’m lazy, and making someone else do most of the work appeals to me.
Good for you! Seriously, I really hope tomorrow turns out to be a big deal and really makes an impact. Something just short of bringing the world to a grinding halt would be nice. I will be working tomorrow, but I look forward to being unusually inconvenienced somehow and knowing why.*
This seems a bit weird as a message. You’re asking men to take on the challenge of writing for a different audience and then it sounds like you’re encouraging your readers to expect the men to fail. This seems counterproductive. Or maybe weirdly productive. Is the point to say that women contribute a unique voice to…

It’s completely different from the NC gov race. There, he is hoping to cast enough aspirsions on the vote that it gets thrown out and the state legislature gets to choose a governor.
Anna Merlan is my hero for laughing at “Taylor” at the end of the audio recording (after he tells her to suck his dick). I’d have to practice hard to perfect this reaction to such violent misongyny. I love it.
And the “policy against married students” was surely because of them having the legally sanctioned sexy times, and maybe talking to other kids about it.
