Even with the 6 speed I couldn’t throw almost 8k a it. I could only imagine what a clutch would cost. You never know how they drove that car around. Good luck David, I am doing similar things to my XJ. But I am fortunate enough to have a XJ Dana 44 in the rear of mine. Next step is to find a wagoneer dana 44 for the front. I have heard they are the same length as stock XJ's. If so I would only need to convert my back in to 6 lug. But we will see. Have fun.
