That might be related to the fact that The Witcher as a series isn't in the same stratosphere for sales as 4/5 of those titles listed. I feel like Witcher 3 pirating numbers would give us a clearer look at what the stance means to pirates since there is a lot of hype behind the 3rd game.

Speaking to PC Gamer, CD Projekt CEO and cofounder Marcin Iwinski broke down the anecdotal numbers based on concurrent torrent downloads and came to the estimation that The Witcher 2 has been pirated more than 4.5 million times. Iwinski said the real numbers are likely much worse.

They are a bit of a beacon in the game developing industry. Unfortunately their anti-DRM stance leads to their games getting pirated at an absurd rate. Witcher 2 had a ridiculous rate of piracy if I remember correctly.

It has value to me - because I utilize the gaming portion of Microsofts offerings but to those who do not, it is paying for services that are free on other platforms.

Because this a conference about Xbox One? Microsoft may have the most prevalent OS but they do not "own" the machines that it runs on like they do for consoles, therefore they won't bring it up. I'm sure we'll get some good info/reveals about PC games later in the conference though

The Tiger is over-rated (imo) given the range of the Elephant. Unfortunately none of the commander have the Tiger in the beta at the moment, so no more of that

I play as Germans and it is crucial getting out LMG to counter that Russian infantry spam. Russian infantry is better across the board because there are so many units per squad and they have versatility, I sigh everytime I get molotoved out of a building on winter maps whereas I have to spend a ton of munitions to get

It's a bit slower than starcraft so there is a wider margin for error, but it is a lot of fun.

Capture/deny fuel points if you want to prevent german late game tank rushes.

I kind of want to buy the version of the game that features spanish as the primary language

Company of Heroes 2 is all about the 1v1 battles - even on 4v4 matches. You've got to handle business in a certain sector before you go helping out teammates.

I'm interested. I never really liked having to build up a base in single-player RTS games only to do it all over again on the next "stage". Continuity is awesome.

I'll agree that there were a few issues that Microsoft needed to clear up with a press conference and instead of doing just that, they fumbled around and added to the confusion.

Humorous examples, but not exactly relevant to consoles.

In a future where kickstarting has become a business.......only one man has what it takes to bring it all down - (Nicholas Cage?)

This is the nature of anonymous sources. I do think there is some credibility to the sources gathered by McMillen but of course Dyack is going to throw out a red herring and not respond to the article points. There has been a fairly consistent tale of mismanagement coming from game developers now out of the industry

2K could use some competition, but I agree. People aren't going to go out and buy NBA Live in droves because 2k has handled b-ball very well.

"I was just about to achieve the next level" - classic vidya game line.

Good god, what a nightmare. Great game developers with terrible business sense apparently. I'm glad it made out of development limbo - personal and professional vindication.

I agree that the piracy estimates out whack, but that doesn't change the fact that game piracy is still prevalent. It would make sense that good games are more frequently pirated since the wording of the article is unclear.
