Nonsense. He went to the “special projects” guy. Who could possibly know more about drugs than the kid who gets all the hookers and blow?

What about all those KIDS EATING PIZZA at that GATE??? HUH? how do you explain this image???

“They don’t really want us to use it, but it’s OK if you do ... You know, I rent it for a day.”

What about the arcing laser shots as if they were cannonballs affected by gravity? I get the smack-in-the-face visual they were going for with the big, bad man-o-war chasing down the smaller ship on the high seas, but it just goes completely against how lasers in Star Wars have always been portrayed in every

Same here, plasma has been working great, will not consider anything other than oled an upgrade. Mine has had no issues, so can’t justify getting a new set until this one kicks the bucket.

Exactly. I picked up the 1080p 55" Curved OLED LG for the living room as color depth was more important than resolution at the size and viewing distance. What I’d like to see is a drop in price for 4K projectors, as I have 135" screen in my basement movie room that would justify 4k, but probably not 8k.

I can’t imagine doing any serious calculations in imperial, blows my mind.

I call shenanigans; he didn’t cut through a can before cutting the tomato.

I watched LAST JEDI again today (and made this GIF).

This shot is one I took of the last night launch of the space shuttle. It went up just after sunset which gave us the added color in the exhaust plume.

Now playing

I got all those videos beat. I shot it with a 600mm lens from approx. 170 miles ESE. I’m so stoked about the details that are captured. The reddish color initially is the plume in sunset colors, then as it exits sunset in rises up into the sunlight @ 30 seconds I can see the vehicle itself! Would have been a 10 out of

I don’t know they they need to build them. There was that whole subplot that thematically hung very much on arms dealers *selling* various groups ships.

Biggest hole I saw was...Why could the chasing ships not just call in other ships to warp in in front of them, like they always have in Star Wars? 6 hours of chasing at the same speed was the most contrived shit.

Y-wings in Rogue One dropped bombs on the shield gateway thingie. That made more sense because they were right above a planet so gravity would pull them down.

It’s a minor thing. I enjoyed the movie. Good call on the the gravity though. I didn’t think about that. The ship did have artificial gravity as we saw from the both the girl and switch falling into the bomb bay. That might be all that’s really needed to propel the bombs out.

My friend pointed out that the Tie-Bombers in Empire also use gravity to bomb asteroids, and I think even other ships maybe. It’s still dumb tho.

then why couldn’t they have just, you know, launched them? If it were on some sort of magnetic rail they wouldn’t need to be directly above the goddamn ship, they could’ve just fired them at it.

What got me about that whole scene was the cliche tropiness of it how all the bombers are destroyed...except for one...where the only survivor on board manages to, at the last second, deploy the bombs and completely destroy the dreadnought. Zero tension.

That bugged me too. In my head I just sort of assumed they must have been propelled out of the ship in some manner because, yeah, it doesn’t make sense otherwise.

That’s how Grampa Vader wore his pants.
