Yes, I said this to another commenter a minute ago but I think it’s worth repeating.. I really do understand that most men would never take advantage of a woman. I’ve known way too many great guys. It’s just paranoia on my part, and men like you and others here help me remember that.

It’s different for everybody but even when I think I’m safe I think it’s always in the back of my mind, that I can never really trust that someone won’t take advantage of me if I leave myself vulnerable again.

It’s hard. I never told anyone. (I blamed myself, I was young, didn’t think I’d be believed) It was a long time ago now (I’m a few weeks shy of 30) I didn’t date for a long time, when I finally did, I couldn’t tell him. I knew he’d judge me. We eventually had a crappy break up. Then I didn’t date for a long time

You don’t. I mean, I can only speak for myself, and I wasn’t even raped, just ... Other stuff. But 16 years later I’m still pretty much always wary.. paranoid, even.

For me personally, it took years for me to trust anyone that wasn’t close family. My parents, my brothers, my Busia and step-grandfather, a couple of aunts and cousins- they were the only people I ever felt safe around. Years and years of therapy has gotten me to be able to trust others, though that circle is very

Shit happens. People have student debt, emotional issues with spending, emotional issues with debt, avoidance issues that they would have NEVER known until it happened to them.

I didn’t pay it with my own money. I used his money to pay it. And he hasn’t done it again because his money is in my control.

Smart, smart, smart! I married a guy that had debt, stuff in collections, had the IRS after him because he didn’t file taxes for a few years... Yes, didn’t file. Like, he got too busy, forgot to do it, then figured it was already late, so why do it at all? Ugh! I’m a 820 FICO score, so this drove me NUTS!!! But I

My mother wishes to this day that she’d taken over the financials from my father - he was a wonderful man, but a grasshopper. She’s in okay shape, but he walked away from a job just months before he would be fully vested in a NICE fat pension. No clue. I was a lot like him... then this economy ripped my career out

I did that too, turms out he wasn’t going to change the habits he had that put him into debt, I got so tired of being the responsible one. After years together we broke up, I get about $200-$500 in child support a year from him now. :/

Agreed. I know someone with lots of student debt who majored in Spanish. He is not fluent in Spanish. Sooo, what was the point of that. Naturally his job has nothing to do with the Spanish language.

I married someone with a lot of debt. I don’t play that. So, he handed over all his financials to me and I knocked that shit out of the box. Dead On Last Payment. Done. Took a minute, but he had the security of knowing that everything was going to get paid, paid on time and paid off.

It really does. The new ECTO-1 has none of the charm of the original. That big yellow light makes it looks especially clumsy... and why can’t they at least give it a different number??

That looks better than the one they use in the new Movie.

I grew up across the road from Miramar in the 80s. All the neighborhood kids would come over to my house and we’d climb on the roof to watch the practices and shows. One of my best memories is during a practice around 1984. We had #5 fly over our house at what felt like 20-feet(probably more like 100-feet) off the

What you want is a kite with lift rather than drag. The familiar child’s diamond kite is mostly drag. The delta and box kites have lift. Here’s a picture of a delta conyne kite with lots of lift.

tag-a-longs are bad security. Everyone coming in should be required to authenticate.

I believe the Grumman Hellcat had the best kill ratio in WWII

Now THIS is Podcasting!

I still remember the horror I felt when I first learned that developers were judged (bonus-wise) by publishers based on metacritic scores. I personally think that's asinine. Sales figures would be a more acceptable benchmark because the consumers are actually "voting" with their money. Metacritic scores are based
