I had a coworker who had the special laserdisc version where there were something like 4 discs for the movie. I borrowed it and unfortunately it suffered with laser rot so they weren’t playable. I was disappointed to the n-th degree.

With all that machinery that had to be designed and purchased to make these controllers it’s a wonder the item costs what it does and not hundreds of dollars more. That goes with anything in general. It’s amazing that manufacturing in volume and a lot of sales can bring the cost down so much.

Watching Luke and Darth Vader duke it out in the middle of the ice plain was pretty cool, but everyone was shooting at them so they didn’t really have the epic light saber fight that they should have been allowed to have.
