agreed. as an asian in america it’s heartening to see that the tenants of peaceful protest are less respected than punching someone in the face.

Colleen Dagg is my new hero.
Can we use 1/2 the knuckle sandwich for the blockhead recording in vertical?
“White people, you need to get your shit in order...”
Oh okay.
While I support the sentiment, it’s not that clever anymore. People are so prone to check for it now that it’s no different from just saying the word outright.
If there were actual accusations, we could look at the alleged behavior and compare it to a statute.
All I got out of this floppy-dick-wagging was a modest desire to Google image search “Helen Yee.”
Oh, he must have updated it.
20k for a high mile subaru I know has been hooned aggressively with considerable mods including ruining the awd system? CP all day.
The bridge operator had two choices :
1. Don’t raise the bridge, and let the ship crash into it. This would cause damage, delays, possibly knock a section of the bridge over, and certainly qualify as an emergency situation.
2. Look out the window, check that there are no cars on the 60-foot long section of bridge, and…
This infographic is just wrong. What it doesn’t say is that Hitler was outlawed for a time and imprisoned, so that did nothing to stop him and his movement. Also the facts that so many of the conditions that existed then that led to his rise just do not exist in the US now. It’s laughable for it to state that speech…

It’s something I’ve asked my friend a couple times — at what point does being intolerant of intolerance make you intolerant? I mean, yes, there’s an obvious bend of intolerance with today’s hate-filled rhetoric percolating through America’s consciousness. That’s easy to single out for what it is.
This is stupid.
With respect, I can’t help but think this is a false choice. First Amendment jurisprudence has long been very clear that while you cannot regulate speech based on content, you can regulate the conduct that accompanies that speech, for the very simple reason that conduct is not the same thing as speech.
I hate this infographic. There is nothing at all paradoxical about the relationship between tolerance and intolerance. If tolerance refers to giving ideas thought before judgement, and intolerance is making snap negative judgements without any facts to back them, you see that the two concepts are fundamentally…
Wow...
Also as a white guy: doesn’t matter. The Constitution is there to protect the unpopular. That is its purpose. To protect from power.
If you’re white in America, everything is considered white privilege by someone—just like how there’s nothing Fey could have said that wouldn’t have offended some non-white.
It’s not white privilege. Up until yesterday, the ACLU fought for them to be allowed to speak, not because they were flexing their white privilege, but because it’s the law.
