An F-150 is bigger, heavier, faster, safer, does insanely more work much more reliably, and still gets the same fuel mileage. I’m failing to see where there’s been no advancement in fuel efficiency.

Our shitty average MPG is a reflection of our society’s need for massive monster vehicles than it is poor advancement in automobile design.
