Poussey is really small, but she seems strong, like solid, compared to Soso, who's just this tiny waif.

That's what passes for humanity in prison.
Reading this review, you felt that there was nothing worth watching?
I thought that he has been sort of consistently shown to be pretty twisted, although this was next level, for sure.
I would agree with that and please provide a link!
Yeah, you're right, that makes sense. The power dynamic is really the issue, not getting off, which, let's be honest, probably isn't happeneing.
His line about beards was the best. "I've had a beard since 10th grade. Two beards, actually. The one on my face and the one I took to junior prom." hilarious!
But Fig also never lets him get away with anything. She insults him constantly and the hate-fucking is all they have with each other. Linda, on the other hand, makes him feel better when he's doubting his actions, which tend to be self-serving, by telling him it's okay to be self-serving. Without her, he would have…
I don't know that this is a productive line of questioning because her feeling powerless was more than just this situation. It was her whole life spiraling. While she obviously had a choice in that immediate moment about whether to shoot that nurse, it's as though everything that happened in her life lead her to a…
I've been reading Missoula, by Jon Krakauer, and it's amazing the sorts of mental acrobatics people will go through to not call themselves rapists. Like, Coates could probably say, "I know that I forced you to have sex with me against your will, but I'm not a rapist," and feel like that makes perfect sense.
But he ended up having some humanity because he actually fell in love with Daya. I can't see any of these guards ever seeing any of the inmates as human beings.
I feel like everyone is doing interesting eye makeup this season. Is that a thing that's popular that I don't know about?
I don't know if she's supposed to be sympathetic. I think her transformation from when she first got to prison to now is fascinating and just generally, the way she deals with things. She knows a lot more about prison, but she's still her clueless, privileged self.
I agree! Incredible.
So I have a question - do you think a lady guard would also demand sexual favors from inmates? Am I being super sexist? It just struck me as kind of odd that sex was what she wanted.
I think it was also just that like, Maritza is so shallow and superficial, she could not get involved in anything like that.
Season 3 was going to have a hard time living up to the masterpiece that was season 2. I think it would have been hard to like it. But I do think there are plenty of stories to go around here, and this show could definitely go on for a long time.
Oh my god. I just finished and it was amazing!
Also, I don't remember her being so ruthless, you know? Maybe I should go back and watch old episodes though, I had completely forgotten about Yadriel.
But what did Piper want to talk with Alex about? Was she going to tell her what she was about to do, and get Alex to talk her out of it?
