My state (Washington) previously had an excellent benefit that made a huge difference on a car like a Tesla Model S, but they just changed it last year. Washington has a nearly 10% tax for cars, and EV’s were exempt from that. So on a loaded Model S you would save about $10k. They capped it to $35k now though. If the

Hey, you there! This is Jalopnik! Land of “if it isn’t a brown manual diesel wagon, it’s shit!”

For a similar but much less serious occurrence...

Could do both, he's obviously got enough money for a few sports cars. A nice 997 S can be had for $40k or less.

Get a 997...

Oh look, American execs are already ruining it. This show better be freaking epic.

Liking how a Ferrari sounds is odd?

I drive an electric car as a daily driver, I know all about how great silence is. But for a fun weekend drive, I want a beautiful sound. It doesn’t have to be overly loud, because it’s got nothing to do with “Hey look at me!” I’ve been a F1 fan for literally longer than I can remember, I’ve heard in person at races

Early 30's here, I drive an electric car every day as a commuter. But I also have a couple great sounding gas powered cars as well. “Silence is golden” is a great saying but not when it comes to cars that we are passionate about.

If they made it sound better, I’d be all for it. But they did not, which as I said, “TO ME” takes away the majority of what makes a Ferrari so great, the sound.

What’s funny about it? You’ve driven them? Great, but what does that even mean? I’ve owned one.

There are plenty of interesting things they could have done that wouldn't have destroyed the soul of the car. A more modern Ferrari V8 for example.

I'm okay with it too, but I still don't like it. It could have been rebuilt with a Ferrari engine. I'm not saying this is some horrible thing, it's just lost one of the major factors in it being desirable.

Stock, they are very subdued. But put a good exhauston one and it sounds much more muscly than any Honda 4cyl.

They sounded pretty good for their time. But even now they sound far better than the high pitched low volume whine of an electric motor.

I’m a Ferrari fan, have been for as long as I can remember, dad owned a couple over the years and I even had a 308 for a short time back when they were genuinely cheap. With that said, this conversion is terrible IMO. I can get speed in just about any car out there, with enough money, time, and skill you can make just
