I honestly thought Escape from New York was pretty silly, so I appreciated having Escape from LA embrace its silliness. It's a lot of fun to watch.

ITT: "It's not fair to judge people just because they *seem* creepy based on all their extraordinarily creepy actions. Furthermore, it is unfair to judge Woody Allen based on speculation on his personal life.

Fuck off, buddy.

Paris Hilton, really? Is she even still alive?

Someone's probably already posted this, but I like this quote because Farnsworth is 10 years older than he's supposed to be for his mandatory retirement age, so it's hilarious *and* it fits into continuity!

If Rod and Todd were homeschooled, it wouldn't be too effort-intensive and that would also fit in nicely with the Christian stereotype thing going on.

I always thought that the scene of Bender "appreciating controversial artworks" scene was also a covert 2001 reference, to the scene where HAL looks at Dave's drawings through a fish-eye lens.

Two Princes came out in 1991, not the late 90's, which may have been why Bender classified it as college rock.

Yeah, from a writerly perspective, they already had a trial by combat succeed (Tyrion/Bronn, S1) and they already had a trial by combat fail (Tyrion/Oberyn, S4). So I don't think they can have yet another trial by combat as it would be too much of a retread even if they brought out FrankenMountain. Also, The Knight of

I was yelling at the screen when Cersei offered to negotiate with the High Sparrow instead of Tommen. Poor kid just doesn't know when he's being played.

It's almost like the episodes are written, performed, shot, and edited in advance of when they are aired on television and as such there is no possible way any fan opinion could have an effect on the very next episode that comes out.

Wasn't it Shae who pointed out that a woman who is almost raped doesn't hop into bed with a strange man a few hours later, or something to that effect?

I can't say why, but for some reason Hermes' line "That Guy is nothing but a flashy con man and you've been hypnotized by his swingin' baloney" is very appealing. I love the way it sounds.

I feel like maybe the fact that Ramsay had Theon watch is what's going to make Sansa team up with him. Like it's such a weird thing to do that maybe she's going to realize exactly how messed up the situation is between Theon and Ramsay.

Serious question: didn't they say the Castor clones had Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease a few episodes ago or am I misinterpreting that? Because none of what seems to be going on is consistent with that revelation. Also, Cosima + Virginia Coady have been awfully cavalier about handling their brains if that's the case.

In the second act, at least Fry's friends (except Farnsworth) are trying to help, but the in the third act, they're so impatient and unsympathetic, as if Fry was just being pigheaded instead of having been driven insane. That's what gets me, even though I love this episode generally.

This whole notion that Frank Grimes is a "real person" in the Simpsons universe…. like, the misfortunes of his life were comical, which prevented the episode from being too heavy, I guess, but it also prevented Grimes from actually feeling like a real person.

Does anyone else find The Problem with Popplers a bit too disturbing to watch or is it just me?

I love Castellaneta's delivery on "Oh my God, oh my God, I danced with a gay!"
