I’ve spent more time speccing and building a Taycan on the Porsche website than this guy spent driving his.

LOL. No doubt!!
the next 4 years will be awesome, I can already tell!
I think I got my first cell phone while I was in driver’s ed, but I didn’t have a phone that could do maps until many years later. I did have one of those Garmin standalone GPS units for quite a while! Even before I had one of those Garmin standalone map units, I had a Garmin e-Trex handheld unit, which didn’t have…
I love the large screens, because when filled up with a map, you can have it zoomed out for more context but large enough that you’re not squinting to see where your car is. Comparing my 15" laptop sized screen against the 6" (and low-res) cell phone sized in our former Mazda, it’s an enormous improvement.
I could be on board. IMO there are just certain controls that should NEVER be screen exclusive. HVAC, Volume, wipers. People are already distracted enough behind the wheel we don’t need them trying to navigate screen menus because they want to turn the air up. If using your phone while driving is a distraction having…
Oh those giant screens serve a purpose, it allows the automaker to heavily cheap out on the interior, you know by not designing/including buttons or knobs, and makes people think the car is “fancy” you know because huge screen. And it doubles as being a hug distraction if you need to adjust or change just about…
Fake vents. They are universally stu-u-u-u-pid since they're non-functional.
Once. The number of times I have had a tire blow out on the freeway far exceeds the number of times I ran out of gas.
Exploding vibrators! My wife is scared to open her nightstand!
I’m way too anxious to run out of gas. I’m almost 70 and never even came close.
That is an excellent point, and I could see it. On a 777 the gear retract into spaces in the main body of the aircraft, so I could see being able to hear pounding from down there. Maybe they need to be looking on the ground along where the gear was extended. Blech.
I remember that. There was this story about how someone heard a giant bang and found a frozen body had impacted their road. Lots of investigation later and it was a stowaway that had died in the wheel well (crushed and then frozen) that fell out when the plane lowered the landing gear. But this was quite a…
You’re not imaging things
This looks like a modern interpretation of the old Dodge Power Wagon. It’s not a looker, but it’s striking for sure and I can see where some of the inspiration comes from.
Not a pilot, but man I tell you what if ‘ol Sully had been there he would have landed that damned thing backwards, upside down in a tornado and not put a scratch on it, the hopped out and kissed a baby. LOL
Can’t wait for the non-pilots to have big opinions on this one!
