I felt both as a result of using FSD - first one and then the other.

I’m just happy I can flex anything!

It didn’t look too bad to me honestly. I was in a driver side off center head-on collision in a 1990's Dodge Shadow at at least 100mph combined speed. Now that’s something amazing to survive!

Hoonigan did this, they called it Build & Battle. Teams built an vehicles on a limited budget and raced them. I’m assuming the time and budget input didn’t match the revenue generated and they didn’t do it for long.

The race series I’d like to see is one where the teams can build whatever the hell they like, but can only spend X amount of money per season to build the car, with the amount not being huge and the limit being rigorously enforced.

There were also people actually wading in the water, so yeah, I’m out of there.

But the people running for their lives that weren’t even in the path makes up for it.

kinda like......

Cars need fewer screens PERIOD. The instrument panel does NOT need to be a screen. Touchscreens need to be limited to the stereo functions and various configuration options that you don’t need to use while driving. And for the love of GOD, volume control for the stereo needs to be a properly placed KNOB.

masochistic?

As someone who doesn’t like overzealous policing or entitled rich people, I found the cognitive dissonance I experienced while reading this to be uncomfortable.

That’s exactly the case. They even said they are not in it for the money but just reasonable restitution. I think the amount is more than fair. Mostly, they want to set a legal precedent for future incidents.

That family needs a way better lawyer. $80k seems laughably low for a potentially life-threatening situation.

It’s stupefying when you think about it: over the length of a mere 1000 feet, a vehicle is capable of reaching over 300 miles per hour—a speed few mortals ever achieve. Guh.

I imagine he fell down and beat his fists on the floor when he saw these pictures. His teary face probably left a big orange spot on the carpet.

He wasn’t invited.

I would watch with Putin, Kim and Hammond.

On second thought, that flight path is over Yukon, so probably Lake Overholser in the pic. Lined up for 13 then, but either just really bad approach planning or incorrect FMS setup. Possible wrong flight mode in the autopilot as well. Just so many reasons this could happen hard to guess

Ok, Airline pilot here. So, night visual approach. I’m just spitballing but there is an airport to the NW of OKC that has been mistaken for OKC at night. You come flying in, request the visual approach, you see a runway and start to go to it but the low alt warning comes from ATC and then they realize they lined up for
