A lot of the time when I was stuck it was because I wasn't finding a little piece of wall somewhere where I could place a portal.

Do it on arcades. Get to some of the great beachside arcades. Interview the owners. Get them to dig up old photos and videos of the "hay days" and film them Ken Burns style to recap while highlighting the differences between then and now and the current direction that arcade games are going.

I honestly think you did better by waiting. The game was pretty buggy when it first came out (and in a lot of ways it still is) plus did you get it when it was on sale for $10? That is an amazing price for it.

That sounds about right. There were some hit detection issues, especially at first.
Where this idea falters is that neither MS or Sony will be willing to give up all of the ancillary money they make from the consoles such as movie rentals/purchases, music purchases, add-on purchases, etc...
I loved everything about the catherine demo except the gameplay.
