The launcher can be resized by changing the icon size in Compiz Config Settings Manager, under Unity Panel Plugin. The panel can't be resized that I've seen, but it lacks other customization options that are promised in the future anyway. It's pretty buggy now (read: BETA, aka there for testing and reporting more than

This one actually looks more like what I was looking for! Thanks!

Sounds to me like they do the EXACT same thing. You could always test in a Virtual Machine to see if replacing it breaks anything, which I wouldn't imagine that it does because I believe it was new with 10.10, but I wouldn't even bother installing e4rat with ureadahead.

e4defrag if you're on Ext4, shake or defrag if you're not. I wouldn't ever worry about defragging it, though. There isn't really a need like there is in FAT or NTFS.

After seeing Hawke cross eyed saying "I want to be a dragon" in that massive failure of a game... For some reason I can never look at male Shep the same. He now reminds me of him. Especially that wide stare.

I wish I could make $32 million and tell the community that supported me to quit whining as I take vacations.

PLEASE NOTE:

"Ubuntu won't have it until 11.04 ships"

Don't think promote's working right so here's a reply to bump your comment up.

So I know I'm starred and all that but it's not like I'm an expert :P Basically I'm new to rooting my phone. I have a Droid X and I rooted it and upgraded to a rooted version of Gingerbread. I didn't clear anything out because I forgot to so when I upgraded all my apps and and documents and settings were in-tact... Is

Yeah Ubuntu when first using it is a huge pain to learn and takes up a lot of time... But I definitely had fun learning it even when I managed to destroy everything... twice. Now about two years later I'm super comfortable with it and know it almost as well as I know Windows 7 and let me just say that if it had gaming

Time to add my two-cents. I'm using it now and I love it. Had to make a few small tweaks but what's Ubuntu without tweaking the crap out of it?

With Linux you really need to stop thinking about how to get programs from other operating systems onto it. Lots of great alternatives, even for iPod management. Netflix and Silverlight unfortunately are picky even on Windows by even only allowing specific browsers. Not sure how to get around that. I've set up Firefox

More customization options coming soon, according to OMGUbuntu.

Just load up Ubuntu 11.04 in "Ubuntu Classic" if you don't like Unity. Ubuntu's always been about progress and change, with long-term releases for those who are reluctant to switch.

Alt+F2 -> "update-manager -d" (with that space). Makes Update Manager check for distribution upgrades, I believe, and it's how I switched to 11.04.

Waiting for the features that say "This is worth spending another $300." A PDF reader I can download for free, bloated ribbons, and built in Windows Live botnet does not say to me that I should upgrade.

These threads are so depressing.

Sounds like you're playing the wrong games.

This site? It's everywhere. Even on the Bioware forums. As for the experience bit, bias based on the friends you've chosen. I've yet to meet anyone in real life who has liked Dragon Age 2.
