So... This is definitely worst than Microsoft's conference.

Why can't Nintendo products ever get edge smoothing?
What happened to "Playstation Move needs no add-ons or peripherals!"?
Joel is a horrible, horrible actor.... Jesus christ.
...Does Ubisoft think they invented meditation? HOW IS THIS VIDEO GAME RELATED?
Owen, is he showing off a game that's ALREADY OUT? Or is this for the console versions of The Sims 3?
I found a guide for this that was perfect. It involved copying anything with the term "menuentry" in it in /boot/grub/grub.cfg and pasting it into /etc/grub.d/40_custom_loader with whatever names you want, omitting whatever you want, and changing the order however you want. You just have to make sure to change the…
Eh, security issues happen, sure. Google's hack in China proved that nothing's ever truly secure, and security's been much more of an issue in WoW than it ever was in FFXI.
@hazelnut: If I had skipped it I'd probably have an itch to do nothing but play it for myself and form an opinion, so I say rent it for that reason alone.
This game would have my pre-order if Square Enix didn't hurt my trust with FFXIII :(
I'm excited for this :)
@tonicmole: Because they wine about fucking EVERYTHING.
@fritzk3: That's true, and good advice, but unfortunately Linux Mint 9 Isadora (which is their version of this new distro) has yet to be released.
@kyle004: Looks like Linux Mint's default.
@yandereboat: If you mean the Intel GMA 500, nope, unfortunately. There's a fix to get it working in the versions prior to 10.04, but the fixes no longer work with 10.04, which is why I'm keeping 9.10 on my netbook. This isn't Ubuntu's fault, however.
@unabatedshagie: It may not have iTunes, but iPod/iPhone support was introduced with this version so you don't really NEED iTunes.
@Mike Cerm: But not everyone hates it. The people that feel positively or neutral to the location of the window control buttons aren't the ones who are so affected by it that they go to Lifehacker to post about it. I, for one, tried it and I don't mind it. In my opinion, the Ubuntu devs have never really been that…
@orangeguru: "Memory and CPU utilization" WAS tested. It was that and speed. A list of supported formats could easily be googled, and VLC is already well-known for its great format support so it'd be pretty pointless to list that here. The video/sound quality differences between all of the different programs isn't…
I see unsmoothed edges, excessively repeated textures, an instanced battle system ("but nao it has a background! INOVASHUN!"), and the angle slightly changed.
Oh, wow, there is definitely a huge difference. I have cable internet via ethernet and Windows Vista 64-bit. Unfortunately, like Firefox, Pale Moon only offers a 32-bit version, but the difference is definitely there. Pages load as fast as they do in Google Chrome for me, and my extensions work great. Now if only I…
