But the dissenting opinions get downvoted into oblivion and people never see them. Which is why people view it as a hivemind because only the popular opinions are upvoted and everyone just reiterates the same shit. One of my favorite subreddits is /r/circlejerk because it essentially makes fun of Reddit and the fact

Reddit is one big annoying hivemind.

Xbox articles on IGN are the worst, all the fanboys come crawling outta the woodwork to berate someone else for liking a different piece of plastic than they do. The community there is horrible.

Pretty much. Which is why for a long time now I’ve thought the Game Awards are a total farce, because who’s to say what the best game of the year was? For some people it was Zelda, for some it was Horizon, hell for me it was Total War Warhammer 2. I don’t think this small group of judges should get to decide what the

I should probably rephrase it as the “Zelda bump”, because like I said to the other guy I never said it applies to all their games. I’ve seen those articles and I’m right there alongside everyone else saying the people saying that are full of shit.

LOL, that’s a whole lotta false assumptions you made in that comment. When did I call Zelda and Mario shitty? Right I didn’t. I’m merely stating that JUST because it’s Mario and Zelda it’s instantly going to be nominated for, and probably win, game of the year.

When it comes to Mario and Zelda the Nintendo bump is in full effect. I never said it applies to all their games.

Its Metacritic scores only reflect that because Horizon doesn’t get a “bump” in the same way Mario and Zelda do. Ever heard of the Nintendo bump? Well now you have.

Trading cards are a form of gambling as well, yes. Who’s talking about addicts? I’m simply saying loot boxes and the like are a form of gambling.

It is a form of gambling, just not the type of gambling people are use to.

but it isn’t the general gaming community that is sending those threats, it’s a small subset of trolls that wanna be edgy.

Yeah, nostalgia is a powerful drug for me, I regularly boot up old games and play them for a half hour or so, for old times sake. So far I’ve only bought KOTOR but plan on getting Ninja Gaiden and some others in the future. Not sure if I’ll necessarily play them through to completion but it’s nice having them to boot

Adorable!!!

LOL, that’s good, a skinsuit EA wears. Bio is dead and gone :(

The thing people keep forgetting is they’ve already acknowledged that it isn’t for everyone. They’ve already said that they only expect the hardcore to buy this thing, the hardcore = a small market. It’s like Nvidia or AMD boasting about how they just came out with the “most powerful video card ever” only the hardcore

“It’s so much more worthwhile to get a gaming PC rather than an X1X.”

Well it loads old games faster than the Playstation 4 loads them, which is to say it doesn’t load them at all because Sony doesn’t believe in backwards compatibility HEYY OOOOOO

Yeah I’m kind of in the same boat, I like Horizon and a few other games but so much of the stuff on PS4 is Japanese, which rarely appeals to me. Persona 5 looks kind of fun, but other than that I’m not into really any of the other Japanese games that come to the system. I’m hoping to pick up my X by the end of this

This is basically Blizz telling us there’s never going to be a Warcraft 4 in the same way Bioware told us we are never getting KOTOR 3, because guys SWTOR is KOTOR 3,4,5,6,7, big middle finger to Blizz and Bioware.

Are we in a Cold War era for consoles? Where instead of the USA and Russia trying to prove to each other who has the bigger dick it’s Microsoft and Sony?
