there's no harm (or possibility) of anything toxic leaching out of the plastic as long as it's BPA free. the main issue with brewing with plastic is coffee oils stock to it, and if you don't clean it very thoroughly, you'll end up with a progressively more stale tasting brew. the oils don't sick to porcelain remotely…
