Weird is right - people for some reason love to latch onto these big expensive productions hoping for failure so they can laugh at the hubris.  I mean who really cares if Universal lost money (which they didn’t)?

It’s been a while since I read the LA Quartet, but IIRC the movie draws from three of the books (and of course in the book Dudley doesn’t die). The screenwriting is part of the perfection I mentioned.

Of all the Titanic trivia to be had, the one that perversely sticks with me is how Gloria Stuart was a victim of GOP cancel culture immediately after the film, because at 87 years old she had absolutely no reservations about mentioning in an interview that she preferred masturbating to men.

Like many other men I only watched this movie because it was a huge cinematic event and I love movies.

How about someone feed you a curb so you’d stop policing how women should look?

Go back on your meds, kid.

I was watching a tracker that counted (among other things) number of interruptions. Pence 16, Harris 11. Except 9 of Harris’s 11 interruptions were her saying "I'm speaking" when Pence tried to talk over her, and I really don't think those should count as interruptions.

My aunt made some comment about disliking how smug Kamala Harris looks while talking.

Does anyone think Pence is sick?

Let’s substitue Loving for Obergefell and see how Clarence Thomas feels about his interracial marriage and the bigots that used religion to oppose that, too.

Considering the book version of events is a 13 girl who has just been sold into a marriage “consenting” to have sex with a 30 year old man who doesn’t speak her language, not sure if I trust Martin’s call on this one.

I played for about 5 hours last night in VR on PC, it is probably tied with Half-Life: Alyx for graphics. It was like experiencing what my child-mind THOUGHT Tie Fighter looked like back in ‘95. It definitely feels more “real” than Elite Dangerous or No Mans Sky in VR (lighting, animation, effects).

Remember in 2016, when some kinja bloggers said it was cool for people to not vote if they weren’t thrilled by the candidates?

After reading the article a few times, I still don’t quite grasp what the point of it even is? I mean a lot of people feel bad things after that debate, as has become apparent, but the weird swipe at Biden was so out of nowhere. It didn’t even relate to anything that happened in the debate and for some reasons put

Seriously! What kind of garbage take was this? What the everloving fuck Jezebel?

Bernie/Liz Warren supporter here.

Why is your instinct still to “both sides” this? Your preferred guy lost two primaries despite promising revolutions that never came, mostly because his supporters never showed up in the numbers needed. The progressive faction simply does not have the numbers. Go do the ground of increasing your numbers, increasing

A pale and rather exhausted looking Democratic nominee, pushed through the primary as the party’s favored choice mostly due to the optics of his former post”

I have seen colickly babies read a room better.
