It’s the “Good German” thing all over again.  Is it possible that they, collectively, didn’t know?  Absolutely fucking not.  Is it possible that on an individual level some here and there genuinely didn’t know?  Sure, but that doesn’t mean we should give a shit about extending them the benefit of the doubt.

Seems like the text of the law quoted in the article does exactly that, though.
