I was just thinking of a line connecting the peak-action-movie-dots from T2 to The Matrix to Fury Road as well.  

Wildstorm did it first! (with Aliens, that is)  The xenomorphs being canonically responsible for the formation of The Authority (at least at first; maybe they’ve changed it since) was always very fun to me, since they decided to make one of these weird crossovers actually matter to that comic line’s overall continuity.

I fondly remember Robocop vs. Terminator as way, way better than it should have been.  Also AvPvT was amusing, if silly.

A truly open-world Halo would be, uh, a pretty serious undertaking.  They’ve got surface area roughly the size of Canada.  

A single time a major title has just said “okay, think we’re all done here” five months before release?

It’s absolutely fantastic, but to me a big part of that is also the 1-2 punch of going straight into “Satisfied” from “Helpless”, with not only seeing the same thing from both sisters’ perspectives but from going into the haunting-yet-cutesy torch song straight into the fire of Satisfied.

Absolutely.  If I’m ever at a restaurant (I guess in the before times; perhaps one day before I die I will be in a restaurant again) and shrimp & grits is spotted on the menu, my order is completed.  I don’t care what else they might have.
