Because it’s next!

Similar thought here. I was going to respond to this: “we also have to seriously ask ourselves why we need to send humans to Mars in the first place” with: “Because it’s next.”

Without any regional bias whatsoever, I humbly propose “Chicagoland (and the rest of you fuckers)“.

Speaking of balls-out insane, the peak moment of Gremlins 2 insanity/genius (impossible to distinguish in this case) has to be the 4th-wall-breaking bit, which these crazy motherfuckers did entirely differently for each medium into which they put the thing.  Theatrical release, later VHS release, and the damn

I’ve never seen 48 Hours, but holy shit, after watching that scene now I really want to.  That was magnificent.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Although yeah, “When I think about what happened to Deadspin, bile builds in my throat. After October 29, 2019, it became clear to me that I could not work at this company for much longer.”  it’s not surprising to any of us, and good on you for standing up.  Best wishes on the move!

I don’t even really know how to answer the question of what I think a random pseudonymous internet posting is supposed to accomplish.

Correct, they are notorious for not showing up in the primary, and then not showing up in the general, so concentration on the voters that do show up makes perfect sense.  That doesn’t seem difficult or controversial.

Jenna Elfman’s on the phone with her agent right now getting ready for the biopic.

See, again I’m going to point out that a voter who chooses “absolute madman” over “wasn’t the greatest” is a fool.

It’s already inspired some really great memes, at least.

“Biden doesn’t have as big of an edge in the battleground states as he does in national polling and that a lot of them will be a battle.”

Which, uh, no shit, NYT.

Perhaps it’s because they know the progressives and populists don’t show up enough in the first place?

“Rand Paul, senator and famed prick, is on the mend after contracting covid-19, “
Damn.

I don’t think they ever showed that was true of anything other than the Power Stone.

I’ll comment on yours in reverse order - this wouldn’t have alerted Thanos earlier, since it would have been shown after he had gotten the info from Nebula’s brain anyway. Now knowing that Rhodes got away with the Power Stone, and with the bad Nebula telling him about Vormir in order to demonstrate her loyalty, Thanos

Yeah, I guess I should have clarified my language as meaning things “he’s” done, not necessarily the whole picture around him.

19-year-old me will, uh, be in my room for a little while here.

It seemed deliberately over-the-top to me, so I loved it.
