Yes I definitely agree that the actor who plays Hakeem isn't great lol and you know what, I think they should have done some of this during the first season as well. I think that's why Lucious pulled away from Andre in season …we just aren't figuring out why until now. But you're right…sometimes we have to turn our

See, that's strange to me because I feel this season has been nothing but character development. We are witnessing Jamal and his desire to please his mother to the point he is becoming a different person. We are witnessing Cookie not be the strong woman she was in the first. We are seeing the maturity of Hakeem…he's

I really like the character development this season. The first season moved a little too fast for me. I also like How they are showing weakness in Cookie. Slowly, Jamal is realizing he is better off with his mother. Did Lucious' mother kill herself in front of him?

Which is also strange because critically, Empires second season across the board has better reviews than the first. Biggest complaint of Empire season 1 was the show moving too fast. Now we're getting character development and some are upset.

What's up with your reviews? There is plenty of plot, but it's not that hard to follow in my opinion. This whole season has been a solid A- in my opinion….

I think these flashbacks are showing us why they act a certain way behind bars, not necessarily what got them there. Chang's explained that she was invisible to everyone growing up, and how she uses that to her advantage with doing whatever she wants in prison…Norma's to me explained that she has always been a

I agree with you 100%. Ugh this show!

I'll admit I teared up a bit when Norma pushed him off the cliff after the humiliating speech he gave her…I couldn't image the built up anger she had after all those years of following an imbecile. Loved Taystees comments on America being ok with violence but freaking out about sex…

That's what I was wondering because she seems older than even Maritza to me

Another very enjoyable episode; loved the parallels of Flaca before prison and her current state: doing what her mother wanted all along. Also, I understand she was charged for fraud but her serving prison time while still in high school somewhat disturbed/irritated me. Nice Poussey interaction with the meth heads!

I've seen the whole season so I can't spoil but this is my favorite season with season 2 being a close second. Also, another great episode. I've never seen such in depth three dimensional characters.

I cried real tears in that scene with Taystee and Suzanne.

Starting to see the overarching theme of faith displayed. Also, this has been my favorite episode so far.

Excellent excellent episode. The character development in this show is beautiful to watch.

It was phenomenal
