We did a good chicken and avocado soup that the lactose intolerant hubs can handle last night and tonight I'm doing Bierocks and am more excited about it than I probably should be.

The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name

I loved reading that book. Good for quick reads or, as you say, to get lost in. Did you see they're starting a Dear Sugar podcast? The first one is available on iTunes now.

I got two copies for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to starting one of them.

HeGies also got a bottle of Boulevard's Crown Town Ale. Really more fun as a celebration of the Royal's good season than as a great tasting beer, but enjoyable none the less.

We have also been doing Sazeracs with Rieger whiskey made here in Kansas City. Very tasty.

Late response time! The flashback took place 20 years ago, and Colton said he was 17, so I think weird '90s fashions are to blame for the weird waistline, more than a baby bump.

We watched the He-Man/She-Ra special with my 2 1/2 year old Friday night. With about 2 minutes left she says "I don't want to watch this anymore." It was truly bizarre, but I could get behind a She-Ra reboot. She was a badass.

And the inevitable breakup occurs when Ryan and Kai fall for each other.

I was distracted by how brown Jax looked. He was darker than Juice. It was really bizarre.

I wish they would have put in a comment about him always sending his laundry out or something, because I could see Schmidt doing that…thinking it was fancy.

I rewound. Twice. It didn't help.

That is disrespectful to Sarabi, and I won't stand for it.

This week it jumped out at me when someone called Bullock "clown."

Did you see Leinenkugel has a fall shandy sampler? Cranberry Ginger is kind of calling my name.

I lovingly picked out the Boulevard/Ommengang Collaboration Saison for my husband. Then threw in a mini Bota Box of chard for myself.

A mixed bag today:

Same here. Crisper full of Brussels and Cauliflower. "So healthy!" I think. Then I just eat some tortilla chips instead.

I also like how Nick and Winston just accept that Cece is this incredibly beautiful woman that's just friends with them. They don't make gross comments or moon over her or even really wonder why she would hang out with them. They're just buds now. It's a good dynamic.

Although, when Mindy said brunch was scheduled during her C-Section, I was like "I don't get that joke." It took me a minute to realize that she would be performing a C-Section in her role as an OB/GYN. Actual medicine comes up so infrequently.
