No, that’s not true. Did you read the interview above? She is not just a Muslim woman stating her belief. That would be fine. She’s a politician running for public office who is anti-choice and anti-gay marriage BECAUSE of her religion. Seriously, is everyone here losing their minds? That means religion is the basis

ok but I need to wear that outfit every single day for the rest of my fucking life thanks.

Also, as someone who has fallen off a sidewalk more than once, I can attest that some of us just aren’t meant for walking in an upright fashion at all points in time. And don’t get me started on how often I turn too soon around a

I just read the Awl post. No more Millihelen?! No more Kitchenette?! Those are two of my biggest reasons to come here. Millihelen was the only subkinja where I was an approved commenter. Guess I’ll find a new haunt, in time.

I like to tell people how little I spent on things, bc I am cheap. “Oh this shirt? It was $10 at Marshall’s!”

How babbycinno is formed?

Yeah, I think you’re right. Those halcyon days of “The Parent Trap” and “Mean Girls” feel like ancient history now.

Ugh the bouncing. My husband doesn’t roll on his side. He flings his body into the air and flips. Our best decision has been to get a foam mattress...no more bouncing. And we sleep with separate comforters because he rolls himself up like a burrito and I used to wake up with nothing. And he’s STRONG when he’s asleep.

In the late 80s my mom filed a gender discrimation lawsuit against her employer and won. She bought a beach house with the settlement money. True story.

I’m more like “how ‘bout get your own house, about 4-5 blocks away.”

She looks exactly like a cross between her and Lizzie from OC

She was improbably good looking. Not that improbably good looking people can’t be talented, it was just one more improbable thing about her.

correction granny panties are in style for EVERYONE jesus they make anyone look so damn good, but sadly not work appropriate. but ugh damn I own 3 sheer dresses and pray that one day wearing underwear in public is not frowned upon :(

I think I’m becoming cynical about this show, but part of me felt like they gave Ashley the win because being supportive of plus-size (or “real women”) is very “in.” Ashley had, by far, the most cohesive collection but her pieces were nothing out of the ordinary. They were very pretty, fairly well made, and the models

The ONLY reason I can’t diss the show is because even people who don’t win get solid success and careers out of it if they have any hustle in them. Michael Costello showed at Fashion Week. Mondo Guerra has a successful online business. A number of them work for large brands now. And QVC collections are sought after by

I saw Zooey Deschanel’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are and it was pretty amazing. She comes from a very strong Quaker line and her ancestors played a key role in the underground railroad. Nothing to do with her conversion, just interesting.

Agreed. Talent is talent, and there is no question that Kelly has talent. Taste is another thing altogether. I appreciate Kelly’s talent, even though her work is not to my taste.

One of the biggest problems with this season, was all the unconventional materials. There were just too many challenges with paper, office supplies, or fabrics chosen for the designers instead of by the designers. Choosing the fabrics always mattered in the past, but this season they barely went to Mood.

I thought this season of Project Runway had an inordinate amount of mediocre-to-shoddy designers. Frankly, I was amazed that the majority of them lasted as long as they did. They should probably go back to having Tim in on the auditions.

I love this show and I can’t quit it no matter how awful it gets, but this season was a real low. The contestants seemed like they didn’t give a shit. And it wasn’t just because they were confused by the judges. On the first day Tim Gunn went off on them because at least 3 contestants showed up without any tools.
