I think the thing that scares me most in this is the incoming SECRETARY OF STATE going on about how he doesn’t know jack about any events happening in the world. Doesn’t he realize that is literally about to be his job? I can see the in credulousness on Rubio’s face every time the guy is like “Syria? What?”

I expect that acting tough and looking displeased is a bit of theater he has to go through before confirming - he’ll say something like “he’s not my first choice but you saw that I was thorough in the confirmation process and ultimately I see no reason why the President’s appointment shouldn’t stand.”

This country could definitely use a little bipartisan cooperation in character evaluation. I appreciate his courage, and I hope that courage continues, and grows contagious.

Agreed that Rubio did a good job here. It’s very frustrating to hear him invoke the war crimes inflicted on Syrians, but then continue advocating we accept no refugees whatsoever. He knows how intense our vetting is, and yet he is still toeing the party line on this.

The FBI needs to investigate Trump’s ties to Russia. Right now, he is acting like their bitch. I’m serious. What dirt does Russia have on Trump? What monetary connections? What debt does he owe them? What financial promises has Russia made to him? Something is going on here.
