It's also one of my least favorite drama tropes: a murder mystery with exactly zero emotional stakes. I couldn't give a shit who killed whatsisname, nor do I care about whatsisname's missing daughter, having been given absolutely no reason to do so — and therefore I feel no compulsion to see how the case is resolved.
