Seriously, though. the review reads like straight-up fandom (veering into press release territory at times), and the episode merits only a B? Wow. I mean, I know the cast is pretty inexperienced and/or terrible right now (I personally stopped watching regularly once Bill Hader left), but how bad do they have to be to

Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail '72. Seemed like the perfect time for it, honestly.

It's literally all we have… but is it any good?

Is it any good? I read a Dykes to Watch Out For collection a while ago and, while it was pretty good, I wasn't in a hurry to get more of her stuff.

Holy shit, I didn't even know this existed. Off to Amazon I go.

Re-reading PG Wodehouse's Psmith books. Halfway through Psmith, Journalist. His most underrated novels, IMO.

Heh. Agreed, but in that situation, I was wondering what I'd do in Ableson's position of picking the ideal three-person panel.

In the comments of the Podmass article that had the Michael Ableson episode review, I said that my ideal three-person CBB panel would be PFT, Andy Daly and James Adomian. It's been less than six months, and I'm 100% fine with switching Adomian for Matt Gourley.

+1 to all of the above, but I'd replace "How British Am I?" with the Agee/Gourley/Mira Foster Brooks impressions from the Skyfall episode of James Bonding.

I didn't think anything could make me love Matt Gourley more, but then I found out he was a Dire Straits fan…

"So I say to Mr. Debbil, 'you are de Debbil…'"

"You are my son I think I love you."

Him pronouncing the title "Cassino Royill" never fails to make me laugh.

We can but hope for as happy an ending as Rocket's in this situation.

Really? Hmm. I must have been too shocked to notice. All I can recall is Scott saying the Howl app will be great for new listeners.

Heh. I was actually embarrassed for him. He seemed so shocked and distressed that one of his favourite authors was such a total dick.

Thing is, I just went through the Q and A Scott did on the Earwolf forum, and the very first reason he gave there ("1. A new way to pay for shows that we know aren't going to get advertisers") is the best reason I've heard so far, indeed a much better reason than anything Aukerman, Gourley or PFT could come up with on

Fuckin' seriously. This, from goddamn MacRumors (couldn't find any other overall market share data for 2015, and I'm sure the actual numbers skew even more heavily towards Android):

Same here, and I don't even know if I can - as an Android user in India (a country in which Google Play doesn't accept debit cards, my only method of online payment, for some reason (a fact which I found out, incidentally, while trying to upgrade to the premium WTF app a while ago)), I'm doubly screwed.

Docked half a star for keeping Andy Daly from doing another season of Podcast Pilot Project, I presume.
