I do agree. I’d say “has it ever made a bad looking car outside of the late 00's and early 10's?” Pre-NC Miata and post-2nd generation Mazda 3 and you’re in good shape, but they did have some very awkward years in there.

Until it disappeared from American shores...RIP. Just returning from a work trip to the UK and Germany and the latest Focus looks like it would make for a great option. I had the 2013 Focus ST and really miss that car...

Well dang, I just assumed by the number of “FoMoCo” stampings on the parts everywhere that they were.

First generation Mazda 3 over it’s Ford Focus brethren. That car was well put together, a blast to drive, and it’s styling has held up much better than that of the Focus.

Used first generation Mazda 3. Can be had in decent condition for $5k. Great fun to drive, relatively economic to own, good fuel economy, can carry a surprising amount, and parts are easy enough to come by. The same could be said for just about any early-to-mid 00's hatchback with a 5/6 speed and a 4-cylinder.

Considering how insane the demand was at first, it never ceases to amaze me how few PT Cruisers I see on the road. Ditto for Neons.

With that in mind, I think the Dodge Hornet will go the way of the dodo soon enough. I don’t think Dodge quality has gotten much better in recent years and with the quality of drivers of

They are everywhere! I just think they are so plain-jane that no one notices when they see them.

Over and over again: try the simple things first.

As a non-Z fan (but with plenty of respect for the line) I gotta disagree with this take as well. I think it looks fantastic.

I’m gonna go with the Integra Type-R. I think the nostalgia for the originals will only continue to grow and those will quickly become hard to find and unattainable if you can. The Type-R seems a worthy successor with relatively unobtrusive styling that should stand the test of time. The non-hybrid powertrain and

The “Sport” button on my 2003 M5. I didn’t use it all that often, but the noticeable tightening of the steering and responsiveness of the throttle was intoxicating. I felt like I could hear my car say “Alright, let’s go.” My 2004 M3 Sport button, which doesn’t effect steering the same, just isn’t quite as impressive.

First off, big congrats to your mom on still being in remission! That and her level head in that storm likely aren’t unrelated!

I love Humboldt County and would love to still be there, but I can’t imagine raising my family there. At the risk of my one experience sullying my view on the place, I don’t want my two kids

Any chance you’re in California?!?

dang...more than one humboldt county story!

Ferndale, CA 2008. After attending a house party in Arcata, CA, our friend invited us out to a bonfire at the river in Ferndale, CA. Seeing that I wanted her to be more than a friend, naturally we dropped everything and drove out. My roommate/best friend and I show up to the bonfire and immediately start getting

No offense, but your sample size of one is about as ludicrous an argument as Bradley’s that racers shouldn’t be riding. Riding certainly can be dangerous.

I’ve ridden and raced mountain bikes for coming up on 2 decades and while I have thousands of trouble-free miles, I also had one crash which left me with 4 broken

Currently trying to track down a decent example of the first generation of the Mazdaspeed 3. The 2010 version just has some odd stylistic choices in my opinon but I really think the first gen has retained it’s looks. I was unsuccessful in tracking down my old (non-speed) 2004, so might as well go with the speed.

I wish I had the attention span on vehicles to warrant buying new again. To make it worth the depreciation hit, you need to A) take advantage of the warranty and B) keep it long enough that you get your money’s worth. Unfortunately with my car-addled brain, that’s pretty tough to do. I find more enjoyment buying a car

Not saying I would (could) buy one of these at those prices, but they seem justifiable based on, what at least appears to be, the quality components and overall build. I think these things look good, just different enough to stand out without being over the top (*cough cybertruck cough*), and from the people I know

Torque steer is a legitimate concern, and it’s a valid point that the front wheels are doing a lot...but the idea that you can’t control the angle of attack using the throttle alone is just plain incorrect. My Mazda 3 had very strong lift-off oversteer and the ability to alter your angle mid-corner was stronger, and
