SBA Thanks You For All The Fish

If you are strictly a W-2/W-4/1099 taxpayer of limited experience (as most of the comments here seem to be)? yeah, this might elude you.

I’ll accept your assertions on background— My point on the basic set-up of the original post, which is abundantly obvious to anybody schooled in the nuances of taxes in the US, is that YES you can pre-pay taxes. It’s commonly done, painfully so, for anybody that got caught in the Hell of Estimated Taxes via ES-1. We

Yeah, it’s depressing to see how people are empowered to write about stuff they clearly don’t understand.

In a sense, this is a prepayment, and you could—in theory—get ahead on your total bill by paying more. Use IRS Form 1040-ES to calculate estimated payments.

It means all modern filing systems are synchronized... electronic... and harmonized. The Trump Trust, which holds all his assets while he’s President, pays anywhere from $500 to $750 to $1000 SIMPLY TO FILE a return in a lot of venues. One button hit, returns file in a dozen states. That’s how modern taxation works. I

You think Trump doesn’t have personal business interests in California, you tuckfaard?

The fact that you do this all the time confirms that your judgment is suspect and you should not be trusted...

You should check the CA laws for how much the “Franchise Fee and Filing Fees” are before you shoot your mouth off too much more.  $750 is a bargain.

Anybody that knows the pain of Estimated Tax Payment ES-1s knows the agony of “interest free loans” to the Treasury.

Actually it happens a lot.  And, anybody that’s forced into filing ES-1 payments from prior year windfalls is, BY DEFINITION, forced to give interest free loans to the government.  Even if you know your income will be lower in succeeding years, the IRS still wants their 30 pieces of gold for the upcoming year.  Pay

Er, anybody that’s forced into filing ES-1 payments from prior year windfalls is, BY DEFINITION, forced to give interest free loans to the government.

That’s a stretch. Taxes WERE paid on the previous gains, with the subsequent losses carrying forward.

Strictly speaking any form of Credit or Loss Carry-Forward is a “pre-payment”.

So, why subsidize a tech that’s far worse than hybrids, all in, even as California is experiencing rolling blackouts?

And, 85% isn’t coming from passenger vehicles...

That’s all great, but the point was there’s far more effective ways $100 Billion in subsidies and VC money could clean up the air.

Keep us posted on how you like it.  The HP Palmtop was actually a clever alternative to the PalmPilot.  It got no love in the market.

Hey, I’m in El Paso several times a month. Can’t surprise me.

Ah. “exploitation”.

Impossible. Pelosi fixed it in the bill she didn’t read.
