I'd have thought the title of the article would filter out just about everyone who wouldn't realize it had to be a joke….

It even passes the advanced version, wherein no two female characters ever discuss a man at all….

Katherine's slight shrug in response was a grace note that made their relationship seem nicely lived-in.

Rarely am I wowed anymore by looking at a plate of food on TV, but Gregory's dish was an absolute stunner, and seemed to spring from a deeper connection with the art than the others had. I was wholly in his corner this episode, and I was surprised he didn't win. While I enjoyed listening to Doug's artist explaining

"After cultivating some shockingly competent henchmen last year, Boyd now
employs someone who thinks it’s a good idea to keep Dewey Crowe’s
alligator necklace in plain sight."

FYI I just read the Disqus notification underneath here as "More Load Comments" (spoiler: it's true, see for yourself!).

Margot did embody several MPDG attributes — instant availability to the
stranger-in-town protagonist, and a sunny disposition useful in the
telling of hard truths. She was great, and my only complaint is that she disappeared from the movie for too long. And it was highly amusing not only that Gaspard was a writer of

The term "perfectly diced" should not be a thing.

Shoulda called it Ariel Pink's Real Pink Aureole

His reaction to bonkers Carrie saying she needed to take a minute ("Take ten!") was also cheer-worthy. Turning Lockhart into a somewhat sympathetic character may turn out to be my favorite twist of the season. More Lockhart!

Hugh, despite his stilted manner and uninflected speech, manages to convey greater warmth and empathy. It seems to me that the show has plenty of judges already — Blais wasn't even at judges' table. He's superfluous, which makes his irritating qualities that much more so.

Blais brought up the salmon just sure that they'd splice in some classic fauxhawk Blais footage in post-production.

There's a palpable anti-molecular gastronomy agenda to this season. Have TPTB decreed that we're over it? If so, that's understandable, but if the same focus group also decided Gail needed to dress more conservatively, I may need to fire off a letter to someone….

I like the Tyler Perry idea, except that it typically doesn't take Tyler Perry 39 days to make a million dollars.

But that's just it — the whole conceit of the original Danish show was a single season-long mystery that would be solved at the end. And the internal momentum of season 1 of the American version seemed to promise the same, only to pivot at the last moment.

Much as I appreciate the work of Rose Leslie, to me the phrase "You know nothing" will always belong to Marshall McLuhan….

I liked Masters of Sex, but….not enough to get Showtime back right away. The performances are, for the most part, great, and it looks fantastic. But the theme of repression as rendered by the show gives it an "encased in amber" feeling that makes it hard for me to get excited. (Yes, yes, "hard"…"excited"…I see

So Jon Favreau made a movie just so he could jump the line at Franklin's?

Duchovny to self: "Good run. Now on to my next gross thing."

"Abigail Spencer and Adelaide Clemens both give moving performances this week"
