Do you have stats or an article how use of herbicides has actually gone up? My dad's an agronomist, he'd be interested to see it too. But I agree. Pesticide/herbicide overuse is a symptom of modern industrial farming rather than anything caused by GMOs specifically.

GMOs actually reduce use of herbicides. You have Roundup-Ready corn, you can put Roundup on it 3 times a year and the field is clear, barring any nasty Roundup-resistant weed problems. Without Roundup-Ready corn you have to make a cocktail of 3 or 4 older, harsher chemicals and spray more often to have the same weed…

Well, that`s definitely true. I got the impression they got more media coverage than they deserved out of a misguided `trouble in both parties!` throughline, and that a lot of them were first-time voters who couldn`t deal with not getting their every wish, and you can`t build a party around those people anyway.

I voted for Sanders in the primary, never believed any of that crap about the primaries being rigged, and I`m enthusiastically voting for Hillary in the general.
